Jen, I wasn't implying that I trust te,m .Matter of fact I looked at their site a while back and thought it looked questionable.

another perspective is the dog is (hypothetically) well placed and the org received some funds to enable it to continue in it's good work (assumption). what is the overall bad if the motives were pure even if the methods are dodgy.

another owner might see this as a noble thing?

when donations are given the donater has no input to how they are used in general as long as the org is being consistent with it's charter overall.

dunno just musing.

I understood that, Joan.

She knew that if the dogs couldnt be service dogs that i wanted them.back and she confirmed this. Not only that but she lied to the police department and said Dix was an import from the Czech Republic

I hope you tear her up one side and down the other, if that's the case, Donald. I'm so sorry.

In general I'd agree with vk4's post ^^^;  sometimes dogs donated (or bought) to be Service or

Assistance Dogs do not work out, for whatever reason(s).  Better surely that they are then re - sited

with another sort of Work, as long as they are going to somewhere/someone where they won't just

be treated like an inanimate and swappable object [!], than to be simply sold off or let go to a Pound.

In the specific, however  - and in any cases similar to the OP's -  where there has been agreemnent to

notify the original provider or breeder of the dog(s), it is a very poor show when that is subsequently

ignored, however good the new placement.  I remember the OP's concern when he was looking for a

service organisation to work with;  I can only conclude that he is correct and they have LIED to him.

SHAME ON THEM.

Non profit organisations can make enough profit to run the setup and pay thier staff and directors, it doesn't mean they have to be volunteers.

Folks Dix was shipped from Arizona to Ohio on May 30th. Sheila told us she wanted Dix for a Veteran. The article online says dix was imported from the Czech Republic and purchased from Ohio Valley K9 ran by Sheila the dogs4warriors person. It also says Dixs new handler started training her the day she arrived from the Czech Republic. So in closing Sheila lied from the begining on her intentions with Dix. She wanted her to sell. The agreement with Sheila was if the dogs we donate dont work out to be service dogs she must return them. She sold dix the same day she arrived. She not only lied to us but also to the Barneville PD.
