dorightand fear noone What a idiot name for starters.. You are a liberal idiot who does not have a clue what we are doing here. The purpose is to improve our GSD's and unless we are willing to tell people the truth we are all wasting our times. Much like I am wasting my time talking to a stupid ....like you.

to catagorize german shepherds as workinglines or showlines is a gross over-simplification.....manufactured by folks who do not want to think hard enough to evaluate dogs on a personal level. i have 5 dogs at my home that most folks would consider workingline dogs and 1 that by most standards would be considered showline. in reality, the so-called working dogs are nothing but sport dogs and a couple of them are not so great at that. the so-called show dog is the only one of the bunch who has actually done any real work (herding) and also the only one who could be counted on to protect the home (does bite for real) yet, is gentle and completely trustworthy around the grandkids. i am a lover of the german shepherd breed and have been for my entire life. i have seen many changes in the past 52 years. these changes are the result of selective breeding based on personal preferrences. is this a bad thing? not unless someone gets high and mighty and deems themselves qualified to determine what is right and desireable for everyone else. would i give up my sport dogs in favor of show dogs? nope. would i give up the show dog for another sport dog? no way. the truth of the matter is this: there are sport dogs; there are show dogs; and there are true working dogs. there are some that can do all and there are some that can do nothing. we get into trouble when we confuse the issues, so please do not try to convince me that workingline dogs can work or that showline dogs cannot - simply based upon a piece of paper. let your dog show you what he can and cannot do, then you will know what he truly is. pjp

I think most people are aware of that todays showlines are often not fit either in body or mentality for neither highlevel sport or police/military, or other real work that demands a sound dog in body and mentality.

Dear DesertRangers: First of all, my name on this web site is the family motto of, Capt. Max V. Stephanitz. Secondly, your name "DesertRangers" is, how shall I put this. Oh yea, I have it : an idiot name also (notice I put "an" instead of an "a" in front of the vowel, you moron). Furthermore, calling me an idiot or stupid person is like calling Michael Jordan a so-so basketball player. I have more knowledge in my nose than you have in your pea sized brain, about dogs or any other subject. I do appreciate you lowering yourself to share your infinite wisdom with us peons though. How fortunate we are to be graced by your infinite wisdom. By the way, you are wasting your time (again, notice I used the word "time" instead of the word "times"). You wouldn't know a good GSD if it bit you on your ass. Just like you wouldn't know how to spell "none", you stupid, idiot (your words, amazingly spelled correctly :).

Now go back to your trailer house and do what your spouse (cousin) tells you to do. lol People are like are the reason we have so many problems with GSD's today. Too much In-breeding! lol

P.S., By the way. I am as far from a liberal as you can get. Have a nice day, and read a book for Christ sake. You might start with Stephanitz' "The German Shepherd Dog in Word and Picture".
