Just watched the three vids...those are germanshepherds with floppy tails.

The montage of pics is nice.. They look like ordinary American back yard bred gsd.

They look like german shepherd to me....Yes, light pigment, very large, but proportioned-large.

Looks like the results of a couple decades of tight breeding on a few old DDR lines that I'm familiar with.

Then in the last set of slideshow pics, you can clearly see the addition of some of those really heavy, jowly german highline dogs. I also see some Held Ritterberg influence..  betcha!

I too, saw some rear end wierdness on those pups gaiting..  hard to say what that is.. it could just be the way the rear (croups) are built.
Honestly, I have several dogs in my homebred lines who could be from the same lines, without the oversize.

There is a "too-longness" in them that can contribute to extra vertabrae, spondylosis, kinked tails, and hip/joint issues...

I'd call them a "type" that is being bred..  a type I have seen before! Are they something that came out of former soviet union?

GSD Lineage, I think the fancy medals and collars would be show awards. I have something like that from UCI dog shows and old SCH trials.

Blitzen,is not a secret at all,I see every year on WDS or EURO chamionships(FCI) at many countries in different breeds..

I can tell you much more..for example about plastic surgery..(breed and dog not russian)

i would like to see the pedigrees way back and see what they diverged from and how pure the line is but can only find russian language stuff.

my first instinct was scam and thought along the lines of shiloh and king shepherds but i think there may be more to it, interesting from a genetic viewpoint imo.

Where is a link to pedigrees?

I'd like to see them as well..  The look around the head, the eye, the wide shape of chest, elbow set, especially the rear/croup is so similar to traits I have seen in a line of nearly gone really, really old DDR line..

Jeff Flaming Sand, Bill WahrburgerStrasse, even had a reverse-looking Gauner Kirshental face in one of the video slideshows..

Also have seen the shade/marks on the heads/saddles and eyes on some really old 1950's type GSD, look at the RinTinTin from the 5o'5 TV show, Bullet of Roy Rogers.. those dogs made popular GSD back in those decades..

I don't have time to post many pics now, but here's a dog I bred awhile back, full sibling to my Imbri, RE to the shape of the rear/croup... not the best angle, but some similarities...

Denwolf, that is a beautiful dog. When was he born? Will you post a pedigree? The good thing about your dog compared to the Russian gsd is your dog has an active tail.

you still on this thread joan?

evidently and unfortunately yes.
