Could we please keep this on topic and a not  p*ssing match?  I appreciate everyone's points of view, but topic please and thank you!

this chat room can never stay on topic. Many good people try to educate the seekers, and then there is people with their own agendas. Go watch good training. You can see examples here. Look at Keith Grossmans thread from the last 2 days. A highly skilled helper stims defence and channels that drive into a prey item. The videos are good, entertaining, but can never replace getting out onto the training field.

I do train religiously and have been at training with Keith.  He has seen my girlie. This was just a question.  Not really seeking advice on my dog. But thanks gsdstudent!

Defense, food and prey .. that is all that most of the idiots on at club meetings know.  Hell GSD can't even spell defense. I have seen a bunch of half ass club helpers who would be pissing their too tight to fit their fat butts scratch pants if they ever saw a dog with real aggression.  These club professors jabber to each other on and off the practice field and claim they know what the dog is doing which is bull.  I have seen these idiots trying to pretend they know your dog better than you do but the truth is they don't know squat about your dog.  Most of them need an E collar and a prong collar on their dog just to do obedience which is a hoot ...but the truth is they are more impressed with the game ( IPO ) than working or understanding their dogs.  Dogs have many, many drives and if you listen to someone who knows dogs and dog training like Balabanov or Ellis you will learn more about your dog from them than the club idiots will ever know playing weekend trainer at their local club.  If you go to a club with a bunch of idiot helpers and trainers sooner if not later they will tell you that you need to do something absolutely wrong for your dog.  The owner and handler has to know what their dog is doing and what their dog needs and if the club idiots tell you to do something stupid you must say no.  So if you like to spend 3-6 hours watching other people stand around talking, making stupid and smart ass remarks about thing they don't understand then spare your dog and just go alone to the club meeting.  Most club dogs spend most of their time in a crate in the vehicle and most of the club members spend their time talking, drinking coffee or cokes.

Bubba thanks.  I have just had this question in my head for quite some time.  Eve is not a point dog (if there is such a thing) but I just wanted to know the difference and such.  Hopefully she will be a momma before the summer is out and that will be a breeding for the books!!!!  I am excited!!!

bbbb; thanks for the spelling lesson. let me guess, you went to 3 clubs within your area. The first training director told you your dog was no good. The second training director told you that the handler was no good. the third told you that neither the dog nor the handler had a snow ball chance in florida to suceed in dog sport. Now you are an expert on what is wrong with dog sport. I wish the 3 TDs had told you what a great team you were and wished you well and tried to buy your great dog.

Of course both Ellis and Ivan use prongs and E collars on their dogs and in their training. Of course both are involved in the sport world, one in Mondio and the other a several times National and World champion in IPO.
Both sell their seminars on the basis of sport training which has made them a ton of money, so, I am not getting your point here Bubba. For a long time now, I questioned your vitriolic hatred toward sports in general and IPO in particular...something went wrong somewhere in your life for this to occur, but, now I am also concerned about your emotional state as well...
