Hi Laura 271:  Best that was a scarey sight to see your dog hit with that much impact and teeth bleed wildly;  would have been frightening to see.  Anytime you see blood from a dog gives you a real start.

Glad he did not get a concussion.  Hot Rod (my boy) was named correctly;  he also really isnot very coordinated on the agility course which is not fun to watch either , somehow I do not think it is going to be his crowning glory.  Tongue Smile  Nan

Nans I don't like my dogs to jump straight up and land on their rear feet. I've seen spinal compression injuries suffered that way. I never allow my dog to play with frisbees either. I think dock diving or any type of exercise where the dog lands in water is probably one of the least stressful ways for a GSD to exercise and have fun.

Agility dogs often get hurt too, some handlers are very competitve and expect a lot from a dog. Those dogs should always be stretched/warmed up before being trained or trialed.

Knocked out 4 teeth? OUCH!!! I had a dog lose 1 by hitting a wall, but 4? Yikes!!!

I do not think a malinois would be a good fit for me, at least not a lot of the ones I have seen, but man are the black ones cool looking!!!! That dog gets some air!

those KNPV long bites are amazing to watch, the dog is absolutely certain the decoy will be where he is supposed to be tho, put one of them dogs into french ring and they would end up in orbit without ever making contact with the decoy.
