Just came to this thread and too much to read, but I did find it interesting that in the first half of this thread, George Bush is too blame for their being less money to be made selling GSD's.

Facinating conclusion.

The poorest of the poor in this country, would be considered rich in many countries.

There is a reason that people from a hundred different countries want to come here and live her.

What I do not understand is how President Bush is responsible for the loss of so many jobs.  So many business closings?

It is convoluted.  Just like BabyEagle4U above touted Hillary Clinton but then complained about taxes being too high.  They are opposites in the political world.  George Bush gets blamed for being too "business friendly" and giving big business' too many breaks, but then he gets blamed for business' closing, costing loss of jobs.

Let me ask ya'll something.  Who hires people that are not self employed.  Government and business'.  No one else.  It only makes sense that if you want to create jobs, you give tax breaks and incentives to business, not to individuals.  I hate taxes as much as the next person.  I am not rich, but I understand where my bread is buttered.

I am not so well up on your Politices on the USA as you Guys only what i see on CC N,

But for me listening to the ones who have put themselves forward for the Job of  President

You have one guy who for me cannot even speak with any conviction, in fact he speaks poorly for a man in his postion

another who talks about subjects, and says the same thing over again

Then you have Hillary Clinton, She reminds me of Margaret Thatcher our old Prime Minister the Iron Lady

Ms Clinton has the backing of her Husband and his knowhow and i do not think that man did a bad job for his country

THe USA can do a lot worse for themselves, I think she is a strong minded Lady who will do a good job

Many of you will say what do you know,

Not a lot but as an outsider i have a more straighter view than some of you, for instance one on the site says i do not like the Bitch

Likeing someone does not come into the equasion, if that unliked person can do a good Job

Hope you do not think me interfering but it is an open thread

maybe for united states, the gsd business is going slower compare to few years ago. but in germany, the gsd are selling like hot cakes. the chinese, taiwanese, japanese, korean, indian, malaysian, filipinos and many more are offering good money. asian will help keep the gsd scene going fr some time.

They keep saying a recession is coming, but I haven't felt it yet at work. Training is booming and I'l pulling 8-12 hours days steadily. As for selling pups, I think mine go slow because I'm a virtual nobody and I haven't really found my "niche" as a breeder, I'm not really a marketer.

Sppok: The sad truth is the average buyer doesn't know what the hell they're looking for, or buying, for that matter, so I don't think your point has much credence. We all know educated working homes are few and far between.

I won't get myself riled up early in the morning with a political debate, but don't let the door hit you on the way out, Mr. Bush.

The people who bought the over priced GSD three years ago has found themselve in the same place the home buyer in Florida and the rest of the country has found themselves in.  They paid much more than what it was worth....and now that the market is correcting itself....they are crying the blues.

I know, there is more to it than that.  But the people who went out and got the crazy mortgages and find themselve in trouble only have themselves to blame.  Same goes for the person who pays$3000 for a pup.  Lets hope the breeders who were getting outrageous prices for their pups banked the money!

We can blame the government all we want but we need to be responsible for out own actions.

I did not over spend or get in over my head.....so I am ready to pounce and make a profit on the economic trouble we are having.  I can do this in part because I paid $500 for my nice little working line two years ago....now I can take the rest of the $2500 and put towards the closing costs of my new property.

Right on dutss, I knew I wasn't the only one ready to pounce! I'm not feeling sorry for friends and neighbors that went spending crazy either. What goes up, must come down, think a little farther ahead than, oh I "Qualified". Getting it and keeping it are 2 different things. Keeping up with the Jones's was never my game. 2 years ago a house on my street would sell in a day, if not, then within the week. $230,000 for 900-1000 sq feet. I'm ready to pounce on $100,000 a savings of $130,000.  It was worth the wait.

Many of these people in trouble are complaining about the government when they can not be responsible for themselves.

They want the president to be responsible went they will not or can not take responsibility for their own actions.

It is sad to know a person would want to vote for a candidate based on sex or race.....as Jed Clampet would say "Pittiful"

The only thing I want to talk about voting for on this board is going back to the original standard for the gsd...which is what this forum is about.

I live in a very, very conservative county. Most of my clients voted Bush last time. Most of my clients also can't wait for the election and likely will vote very differently this time.

A war that was based on false pretenses has now cost this society (not to even mention the cost in other countries including Iraq) 500 BILLION. Here we have a rising unemployment rate, people not able to get affordable healthcare, others loosing their homes, gasoline prices soaring and serious signs of economic crisis on the horizon. This does not even begin to count the loss of human life in Iraq, among our fine soldiers and those of other countries. It does not even begin to assess the costs to our society for all the seriously wounded and permanently maimed soldiers who will have to depend on the largess of the government for the rest of their lives to make due (and that largess in terms of money will never replace the lives they might have lived).

This country used to be the most respected nation on earth. That has changed. We are NOT respected, even among our close allies. If you knew Europeans, or could read a foreign language, you could see that for yourself. When a nation is led by someone as arrogant as Bush and his advisors and goes against the wishes of ones' allies, it should give us all pause for thought. There are, for sure, many complex reasons for our economic woes, but many of them can and will be placed squarely on the shoulders of this Presidency.

Dutss

Your correct and i put the same thing elsewhere on the Forum

Banks lend money too freely and the People borrow above there means and cannot pay it back

I do not have any sympathy with those people at all. You make your bed and you must lie in it

I, like most people i struggled and still am now in a country where the living cost is much higher than the one i left  behind but the money comes from the other country, so i work accordingly to what money i have

But saying this in my life i have only ever bought my first house Morgage which is Debt

Anything else in life i never buy unless i save up first and then pay for it outright, i will not get into debt at any price, if i cannot pay for it i go without , that ifor me s the best way to go
