That aside, yes, the certification process does require a dog to release but it isn't real life. I would much rather see a police dog who was reluctant to out than one who wouldn't engage in the first place. Is it preferable for a dog to bite someone in the face? Probably not but neither is it explicitly forbidden. If you don't want to get bitten in the face, comply...seems pretty straightforward.

BooBoo the difference between us is I have lived the life for 39 years dealing with garbage the likes of you and your mentality. I have placed close to 100 dogs on the street in my 38 years of working and training police dogs both patrol and narc for your information. All patrol dogs are trained to release when instructed to for certification purposes as well as cease on command while enroute to apprehend a perp. Oh I am also a certification authority for a major police K-9 organization as well. I have also written a few SOP's for departments as well and in each of those the dog must out on command and cease while enroute to take down someone running or standing still. If you would like give me your e mail I will be glad to send you a copy of one
Do they release on the first command to out when on a live perp? Depends if the person being engaged is resisiting or not. When one of my partners was being struck with a pipe while engaging a burglary suspect he did not out until I knocked the guy senseless. He then outed as soon as I shouted for him to. But of course you will have something to say about me knocking the individual senseless while trying to kill my partner.
I for one love to hear you gripe. It is rather comical and I believe others who read your comments find it rather comical too. It really makes my day when you disagree with what we have to say about your rather one sided opinions. My best advice to you is to ride a few nights with the real police not your imaginary ones, respond to a few of the shit they deal with on a daily basis and then see why we laugh at people with your mentality and get a kick out of people like you. LOL
Mod edit, once again corrected the spelling of another member's name, last time I hope.

There are "black sheep" in every business, but you should give thanks to the vast majority, the good ones...

Some nice video of police flawlessly killing a dog for no reason during a "home invasion" search warrant by a SWAT team. SWAT teams have been used for serving search warrants in residential neighborhoods which was never their purpose but give the cops a tool and they will figure out a way to misuse it. The child's dog is killed for barking while being restrained in the child's bed room ... killed in front of the child. No .. I don't believe Deacon or any of his brotherhood of liars and silence. People just like him and indeed him have looked the other way and kept silent or lied about police tactics. The police in the USA have a lot of work to do if they can ever regain the trust of the public. Stopping the unnecessary killing and lies would be a place to start. Deacon's cavalier and entitled to kill attitude speaks volumes about police and their leadership. If you give an ill trained idiot a gun and a badge that will not end well for the public. The same with a dog. The best trained dog in the world can be misused by an idiot with a badge but from my experience the cops in lots of areas have neither well trained police or dogs. It is a recipe for excessive force and death. Watch the video ... I have lots more ... they are making more each day!! Sorry Deacon .. I don't respect your "AUTHORITAY" ... you and your kind lost that a long time ago. Susie there are two kinds of cops in the USA at the moment .. those that break the laws and use excessive force for sick fun and ego and the others who stand by and let them. Who is protecting the citizens from bad cops?? I hate what our police have become .. a bunch of thugs.

You'll notice that there were children in the house and the time allowed for the people to answer the door was impossible to give the people time to respond which is the usual way the police do their home invasion searches. This case was a clear misuse of a SWAT team and excessive force .. the cops involved should be ashamed of what they did but they just pass it off as following orders and "procedure". Procedure is how people and animals end up killed needlessly and then the cops hide behind their badges and the procedure.

A flawless example of police abuse and murder for you Susie. If you need more I have plenty and these are just the ones the cops did not suppress or lie about to cover their butt. So who was wrong here?? A man at home with unidentified people banging on his door at 1:30 am on Sunday morning or the idiot cops who had the wrong house and performed an illegal search and murder. The police did not have a warrant, wrong house, and did not announce they were the police. Sounds like negligent manslaughter to me but the cops of course got off with spanking .. naughty boys. A 26 year old pizza delivery worker is dead because poorly trained cops broke numerous laws.
Twenty-six Andrew Lee Scott, Lake County Florida, answered the door of his home at 1:30am on Sunday morning. Because of the hour, Scott went to the door armed with his handgun. As he opened the door, not knowing who it was, he had his handgun pointed outside. He was shot dead by Lake County Sheriff deputies. The problem with all of this is that the deputies were at the wrong house. Here's something interesting though, the deputies did not identify themselves to Mr. Scott for (insert drum roll here), safety reasons.
"When we knocked on the door, the door opened and the occupant of that apartment was pointing a gun at deputies, and that's when we opened fire and killed him," Lt. John Herrell said. "Even though this subject is not the one we were looking for when he opened the door. He was pointing the gun at the deputy and if you put yourselves in the deputy's shoes. They were there to pick up someone who was wanted for an attempted homicide."
