prolly working with their dogs to get them ready for sport or show, their chosen venues, instead of...

why does anyone else need to comment if you are certain you are right before even posting.

Mithuna, because territorial and suspicion are not important to many of them. Not needed.
Vk, because some breeders are swooned by the multiple titles? Or else they happen to like the dog.

BOOM - right there, exactly my point.

the breed is the market for the breed;

Vk, smooth fox terrier is another breed I love...that breed also is the market for the breed. Ie, I love smooths because of the breed, because they are smooth fox terriers and not cocker spaniels. Same for the gsd.

the breed (GSD) is what and in who's opinion?

xeph, duke, keith, (insert red & black SV breeder here).....etc all breed and love very, very....very different dogs - you going to claim one of them is right, all of them, none of them?

by joanro on 14 September 2015 - 03:09

I'm not claiming anything, I'm speaking for myself. Kieth isn't a breeder, he's training his first WL gsd. He used to have b/r before the current dog...at least that's what I've gotten from his posts.
As for the three different type gsd the the three people prefer, all are gsd which have been bred for traits found within the breed but selection has accentuated some of the traits over others. My estimation is that the dogs duke prefers and selects for breeding represent the breed as described in the FCI standard more than the the other two...that would be a utility dog with no excuses made for them.
