Gigante

Thank you, Yes thats solid I understand. In a threat situation like shown 99% of humans will have no control, immediate flight. Since the response will not be by choice or reason the ability to send the dog in flight in that state is highly unlikely for most all until down or behind cover. Additionally if a round catchs you and the dog still has not engaged a live active threat as such I would fear both client and dog don't fair well. My thoughts and therefore the question regarding the additional training to un train this scenario.

Thank you

I just bred BILBO VOM FRANKENGOLD to MINA VOM COYOACHAN HAUS.
You can view the pedigree for both on pedigreedatabase.com This entire litter will be Long-Coat with excellent type, character, temperament; deep rich Black and Red Pigmentation with full black mask.

If you are serious, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND immediate response.

Mod edit, no advertising that should go in the classifieds, contact OP in a PM, thank you. mrdarcy (mod)

Jesus Christ.
Discount because of location, wtf?
"If you are serious, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND immediate response." That statement alone would be enough to make me run from this litter.

To the OP--have you contacted MeloDee Middleton of vom Germelhaus in Princeton, Texas? She has a reputation for producing dogs that are stable, strong and suitable for family companions as well as sport and law enforcement, and she generally has some adult dogs available as well as pups. I couldn't say whether her lines carry the coat factor or not, but it can't hurt to ask.  One thing that could work for you is that she often places spayed females she's retired from breeding into homes as family dogs, which could address your need for a dog that can be protective of your home and family immediately--and I've always found that a well-trained adult dog can be of tremendous help in teaching a puppy the ropes, too.

I don't have any involvement with the breeder or her dogs, just familiar with the kennel's reputation over the years, and since she's located in TX you might be able to avoid having to have a dog or pup shipped [though I know it's a big state, and she might be nowhere near you].

What makes you think that litter will be protective or capable of doing anything? Sire has an IPO1, dam doesn't have a single title...OP wants to train the dog at an IPO club. Last thing he needs is to struggle with an unproven pedigree.

Sad state of affairs when a breeding like that is demanding that kind of a price...you can get a puppy out of IPO3, breed surveyed, V rated parents for 1800 and under if you look else where.

To avoid being ripped off money-wise especially when
getting a first dog, AND help the dog population, I would
support Hexe's suggestion to you - see if you can get a
retired/rejected from breeding bitch (from Melodee or
somebody else). I gave a home to a 3.5 year old bitch who
was spayed because she had a poor hip score, and she
gave me nearly 10 years of companionship, prevented my
car being broken into more than once, people were in no
doubt she was living in my house, etc. She was Showline
and I didn't 'want' to do IPO at that point anyway, nor do I
think she'd have been good at sport, but she was everything
else I needed !  You may be able to find one that meets your

criteria of long coat and sports/work aptitude.  Good luck.

Theres no guarantee breeding titles as well. Crap shoot you can only hedge your bets when you dont know the lines being bred. Most breeders sell color collars. They dont even wait to identify anything within the litter. Good sport dogs cant be identified in photos at 6/7 weeks.

OP: The back and forth on what to get is serious flag, not overcome able, but quality breeder prefer people with an idea of what there doing. The best advice is to find someone local, see if they can/will help you iron it out.
