todays training one of the dogs made plans of his own, helper tried to make him bite his sweater

I think it is very nice dog, not for sport but for PP or police, just were he will go, no equipment fixation
LOL

Hi Duke, looks like a dog that isn't equipment focused which can only be a good thing in my opinion! Not so good for helper though! lol

Why did he let go of skin and hand? I did not hear an out.

The dog let go in my opinion because it tasted no sleeve it did not re grip from the very soft bite for the same reason.

My two thoughts the video shows some fixation with equipment perfectly. If this helper is new or semi new to the dog.

If the dog knows this helper very well and knows this is a game with a friend it released when the helper winced knowing that was not part of the game.

Either case nice dog.

"some fixation with equipment perfectly"? Dog bit without any equipment visible!

Handler gave way to much rope to the dog, considering the helper was unprotected lol, (handler error) decoy did well to carry on.

Dog did fine.

communication error as we let all dogs bite on helpers sweater and he was on the way to present it but went wrong and I let the dog go, result however was that the dog still engaged and did good for 13 month dog that only bit sleeve before
decoy handled it very well, stayed calm , really happy to work with him

I agree...a break-down in Communication between Handler and Helper...There should always be a plan and everyone knows what the other one is going to do...
That way you get the best out of the dog with no one getting hurt...Everything is Positive and the dog learns...
In this situation the Helper did very good even though the dog bit him for real...There was no reaction towards the dog...So the dog felt nothing but Positive response...
This is a situation where the Helper might not know the dog very well and they may have gone a little too far too quickly...only in that the dog was released into the Helper a bit too much and should have been directed a bit more...
It's a very nice dog and there didn't seem to be any adverse reaction from the dog...

P.S. So to answer your post's question: A Very Good Dog and a Training Error
