Good genetics are where the dog doesn't associate negativity with anything or anyone. Dog probably doesn't even understand what he's picking up, he's just doing it because its an object and it looks fun. Good to see dogs like this.

I don't worry much about the noise on the sleeve at such a young age either. The more confident the dog gets naturally with age the quieter the dog will get. Looks like a good dog that should be capable of anything that the handler asks of him.

Do you have a pedigree?

Best GSD I ever saw was a complete natural; he was never formally trained but raised with family. He was a Marko V Cellerland grandson through Kai . He had very high hunt drive, good obedience, but quite aloof. He naturally bounced you away with strong side swipes his body if you got too close to his owner. If you raised hand or voice, he would change his body demeanor just his eyes, face, and ears ( no barking ), but you could very much tell what he meant He would let you in the house with owners permission..and basically you had to sit , no throwing around arms, and no loud voices. During your entire stay he would just watch, not interested in making friends. As far as leaving the house was concerned this dog would not let you out unless the owner let you out. All this time he never barked or growled or hackled but he had a definite presence.
He was not formally trained just grew from a pup in a small loving family.

Hund M he was bred by your country man Malcolm Griffiths
