I see that you fixed the embed, Mith.

Certainly no expert at reading a dog from a vid, bit I see a dog that puts on a good show. Would you go into his yard?

by vk4gsd on 06 February 2017 - 00:02

Mith the experts are sick of answering the same questions you ask over and over and completely ignore every response.

@ Koots
"Certainly no expert at reading a dog from a vid, bit I see a dog that puts on a good show".
So you are actually making a claim that you are able to read the dog " putting on a show ", but you claim not to be an expert.

No thanks coming for helping you fix the video embed? Typical....

The other part - I will not play your games.

Koots thanks for helping to fix the vid.
You are the one who said the dog is putting on a show ( meaning you a making a claim about being able to read the dog's internal state )...when challenged you resort to name calling ( I will not play your games ).

Well, the dog certainly isn't lying down on a bed for a photo shoot.

I fixed the video

Dog is putting on a  "show"  for real or otherwise who knows

To bad he is chained takes away from his choice of fight or flight makes it harder to read the dogs possible actions.

Now instead of showing us other peoples dogs do this with yours and ask the same questions.

You are realllllyyyy stretching insinuating that I am name-calling by writing that I will not play your games, lol.

I stated the dog is putting on a show, that is correct. The other thing I said is that I am not an expert at reading a dog from a vid. Therefore I cannot determine if the show is real or bluff - perhaps I needed to say that as well but I thought it was a kind of obvious. That is why I asked the question if you would walk into the yard. I have seen many dogs, in person, acting this way - some were bluffing, some were not. But unless I can be there in person to read all the clues the dog is giving, and look into his eyes, it is something that I cannot determine from a short vid.

I didn't realize it was Western who fixed the vid, but now you know how to do it for when you put up the vid of your dog...

I have said all that I will on this thread...

Thumbs Up  SO many people are convinced their dogs will protect them or their property from a mugger, burgler or other boogeyman. They are usually wrong. See the video for proof.

For a real protection dog first you need that temperment then a good traning period. Most of the dogs are protective when they are chained and /or behind the fences.

A very good way to see if the dog will protect or not is a full bite suit. Please note that the dog must not be introduced to full bite suit for dog sports before. If it was introduced before it may bite for fun becouse dog sports is a gam for them ( biting sleeves etc)

I have 3 dogs ( american bulldogs) in my yard and only one is very good for personal protection. He doesnt bark much like others ;) just focuses and stares he is something like "I should be quiet and bite when he comes" instead of "he is coming I must bark to stop him".

P.S. : sorry for pure English I am not a native speaker.
