Brandi

The OP doesn't mention why he/she is interested in Bomber. Both brothers are brothers- full brothers, meaning they have the same exact lineage, exact same genetics. Meaning they both are the only who can produce the same. Except other litter mates of course.
So, if the OP is looking for the qualities of Bomber, the best way to achieve that is to "go back" in the pedigree. The further from Bomber (or Bandit) the further away the qualities that the OP may want. Seeing how Parrish is not breeding Bomber to the outside, go to the only source here in the US, which is Bandit!
No harm done in mentioning Bandit. No one is taking Bomber's thread. It's an open forum, and Bandit was most likely mentioned incase the OP didn't know he was here and available.

Edited to add: And yes, I understand each has their own individual qualities as did Timmy/Troll.

BanditBanditBanditBanditBandit.  Get over it Daryl.  I'm sure the OP can decide for himself who he wants to breed his female to.  If he wants one generation away from the Great Bomber Bloodline, he will find a great Bomber son to breed to.  No harm in the reminder that Bandit is also available in the US (to outside females too) and is producing "awesomely" as is his brother.  Two great brothers in this country, nothing bad about that!

Hey, while you're at it, why don't you go over and invade this Bomber litter announcement thread!

eichenluft I think what daryl is getting at is every time you see a thread about Bomber you try to work Bandit into the conversation.  In this case the guy asked about a "Bomber Offspring stud"  There are a whole host of reasons why he may want a son of Bomber vs going a generation back.  For someone in the breeding industry you should know this starting with how close he wants to linebreed something.  The appropriate thing to do would have been to point out some bandit offspring studs not bandit himself.

My problem with this whole thing with you and Bomber and Bandit is that you are trying to ride Bombers coat tails in every post.  Your dog has now been basically branded "Bombers Brother"  Bandit is a good dog on his own.  You need to market him as such and get away from his claim to fame as being "Bombers Brother"  Let the dog stand on his own.  When you are marketing him this way it cheapens him and makes him look second rate.  Makes it look like you are saying if your dog isnt good enough to breed with bomber come over and breed with his brother bandit who is not as good as Bomber but carry the same line

I own a marketing company that deals with some of the largest brands not only in the US but across the globe so when it comes to marketing I know what I am talking about.  I have done ads for Carnival Cruise Lines, Nike and Toyota to name a few.  What you are doing is like a grocery store saying our house brand frozen waffles are as good as EGGO waffles because they are both waffles.  When you market this way it just lowers your brand and makes it appear seconds rate and you are grasping in your marketing.

Please do not take this as an attack or an insult I am just stating how it appears when you try to take over a thread from an outsiders point of view.

Good Luck with Bandit and his stud career

Troopscoot;  this could have been done by PM;  the whole world does not need to know why NOT to use Bandit instead of Bomber;  does not matter whom might be better or why.  What a god damn insult.

by troopscott on 02 April 2013 - 11:04

Nans I never gave a reason to use Bomber over Bandit.  Both dogs bring different things to the table.  Based on what one is looking for they should make a choice.   In fact I said Bandit is a good dog on his own and they need to market him that way.  The fact remains though this was a thread about a bomber son stud and she tried to interject it (as always when dealing with a bomber thread) to be about Bandit and to increase his breed book.  All I said is she needs to change this marketing campaign she is on to be about her dog and not to be about being Bombers brother.  Nothing more nothing less.  I took no shots at the dog and did not compare them or their traits good or bad.  All I addressed is the marketing (other than pointing out why he would want a bomber son vs bomber or bandit themselves)

If it is taken as an insult than I am sorry but that is not the way it was intended

Brandi, brothers don't have the " exact same genetics" unless they are clones.

by workingdogz on 02 April 2013 - 12:04

Many are correct on this thread, Bomber is not Bandit and Bandit is not Bomber, troopscott is right,
Molly should be promoting Bandit on his own merits, he is a very good producer to date of some
pretty damn nice dogs, however, I agree wholeheartedly with troopscott, I think it cheapens Bandit
to have him ride on his brothers coat tails. Both dogs bring the same genetics yes, but both express
those genetics in a different manner. Hence the desire to use one brother over the other. It's not
rocket science. Look at J wurf Talka-Marda, it would almost seem to me that while Javir may produce
some nice sporty type dogs, his brothers Jim-Beam and others are bringing a different 'type'. JMO

Troopscoot:  all I am saying is your message should have been done on a PM, not for international forum to see, hear and read;  we do have very novice and new people that need to learn about the dogs in a professional and responsible manner, what they produce, their working abilities,  and so on, NOT HERESAY, or whether the owners are professional marketeers.  JHC.  That is the last thing the breed needs.
