I suppose the OP is still waiting for the refund and that is why the thread is still active.  I'm sure the check has been sent out and simply delayed by the holiday rush at the Post Office.  The OP has been waiting since March what is a few more days.

Yes, fawn, I keep participating here, and I am in the conversation with TH because I am not going to downplay the seriousness of her being wronged.

I suppose now, you will  have lots to laugh about, because I can foresee relevant postings that could continue until the debt is paid. Enjoy.

I'm shocked Roll eyes that the 'breeder' has yet to repay the OP
what is rightfully owed, and the additional court costs. NOT

The court ordered judgement against the 'breeder' of just over
$1900.00 was issued on 12-03-12, and the OP has yet to
recieve payment! The 'breeder' all of a sudden stated publically
that she 'wanted this to go to court' so, now it has, it was beneath
the 'breeder' to show in court any of the 3 times, even trying
to get a 4th date!  Why didn't the 'breeder' just show up in court
and either fight it with all her 'evidence' of abuse instead of
dragging the OP and her family through the mud or settle?!?
Instead of showing to court at the required days/times, the 'breeder'
was busy posting on dog boards.
.

OP, just make yet one more trip down and file what you need
to file to get the asset discovery etc, you are going to have to drag
this oh so perfect 'breeder' back in to court to get what's long
overdue you!  She has had plenty of time to repay you, in fact
this same 'breeder' brags about how quickly she has bought
back other dogs, even dogs with litters in other threads!

OP? my advice to you? Go for more money if you can!
Cover your time and expenses in the many trips you have made!!
No one likes a DEADBEAT who doesn't pay what they owe!
The 'breeder' has run out of excuses and accusations to throw out.
Time to pay up!

And for those of you who think this train of thought is unreasonable,
perhaps YOU should send the OP her almost $2000.00 back and
then let the 'breeder' pay YOU back!
It shouldn't bother you if she takes her own time to do so right?

Based on this thread, based on having 80% of the forum involved and on what was said, and based on “I feel good now” so “pay me my money”…any one of us  in this situation on receiving end AFTER THIS THREAD would have said “f u”…. Regardless being right or wrong you cannot expect someone to pay post all the drama…
TH you cannot think that when you started this tread this was going to turn into a civilized conclusion with an easy pay off…

I so agree that the OP should be paid monies owed.  I, by no means, want to down play that.

What can we do about that though?  If it took the OP going to court to get a judgment against the breeder, how can any of us really think by posting on a thread, that we can magically get the breeder to pay up?  Is it not obvious that the breeder has no consciences?  How will words from virtual strangers (as many of us are) change that?

Sadly, it will likely take the OP going back to a lawyer to get either garnishment of wages or asset recovery.  As a potential buyer, the point to at least question before any dealings are done with the breeder has been made; I think back on page 2, maybe 3.

What Workingdogz said plus - it would have cost a lot less to just do the right thing from the beginning rather than paying additional laywer fees and court costs.

Pride cometh before the fall.

Why do you read this thread, fawndallas?

I actually stopped reading around page 3.  The point to me, as a potential buyer, was made.  I saw yesterday that the thread was still going and asked why (my post was deleted as "troll").   Slam, Bee, and Workingdog answered me.

A wise person once said:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

Would we not be better served at this point to devote our energies elsewhere?  Many of us feel for the OP, but truly there is nothing we can do for them at this point.  One thing that many people forget is that what we put on a forum is there forever.  Based on what is put on this thread, are we not opening the door for the breeder to claim slander/ loss of income?

I think the "Look at these hips" thread showed that keeping the topic alive caused that breeder to finally rectify the problem.  I'm certain with out that thread the puppy owner would never have received any settlement or reimbursement.  I think this is turning out to be a similar situation.  From what I gather when Teufel Hund returned the dog in March the breeder did not have the money to refund the purchase price but promised to do that.  Then there were the "uncashed check" and other excuses for failing to pay.  Well, the refund never came and the insults and personal attacks started rather than keeping her end of her bargain.  9 months ago the dog was returned the breeder agreed to refund the purchase price and had to be taken to court.   The court ruled over two weeks ago and the payment still has not been received.  I'm sure once the payment is made this thread will go away.

I think workingdogz summed it up pretty well.
