Not sure the meaning of your post above, Perhaps i read it wrongly your post above mine, I thought you wanted to know how the Dogs with Tom lines were working todate that is why i put the good and not so good bits regarding Gina and how she was going on, Nothing mean't' in it just replying to what i thought i read, Sorry things have got twisted somewhere.
Regards Ruth i know you will let me know in time when you have worked it out

Thanks J, for sharing your dogs with us. Im always interested in what lines are producing what.I had a Javir girl i was not thrilled about would rather not have to force retreive a dog, good to hear you have a nice dog in your Jimbeam dog, I wondered about Bandit throwing large dogs but glad to hear they move well for the size,Bandit seems to move well enough from the vids I,m seen of him.i will have to get a vid up of a female I have in an open field I only have her with swimming vids right now and just like she runs she swims very fast also. To see vids on youtube enter Kebow von der Bleuhaus that should get you to some of the vids I have.

Just one 1,oclock in the morning and been home from the dog training club 30 minutes, I did the first training with Gina tonight and she was okay, not foot perfect but it was promising and we will make a decent team in a month or so of working,
On Protection she was spot on on the bite My main thoughts was would she respond to me in such a short time when she was so intent on the Helper, The time came for her to out the sleeve, the first command fell on deaf ears, The second time she gave it up with a little persuasion from me, To help her along we moved two steps at a time then stop. Time came for the Escape and she reacted well going down and attacking with her usual full power flat out approach,
Footing to the long attack was not fantastic but passable i sat her facing the Helper and she was on a 3m line, i did not hold onto her but told her to Sit as she jerked forwards Sit' she stayed focused on the Helper, But i would not let her go until she looked up at my face then i told her to go, two times and she did well, One thing pleased me she came back to me on a call with the sleeve, all in all for the first time i was very pleased with her and myself, I think we will click okay and i know i have a really good dog in the making.

Greetings,
For anyone else interested, I have friends that have a Tom son at stud in north Florida. My friends are Michael and Osa Higgins, and their kennel name is Marienhof Kennels.

Although I normally prefer show  lines, I liked this dog and what he produces so much I recently obtained a son of his.  If all of Tom's offspring are as hard and "drivey" as Dax, I can truly understand his popularity!

A friend e-mailed and told me this thread was on-going and my wonderful K-9 Patrner, Onnegardens Griff(a Tom son) was mentioned.  Griff was Sch3, FH2 and KKL2 for Life.   He was my Patrol/Cadaver K-9 until we both retired.  I have not mentioned this publicly , as it saddens me greatly, that I lost my Griff recently--Griff was almost 12 years old.  Griff left us with a litter he sired that was whelped on March 18th out of a Sch3 female owned by a very good friend of ours, as well as a litter of ours whelped May 13th, out of my husband's Sch3, KKL1 for life female, Goldi vom Vogelsberger Sudhang--(Griff's last litter was the "Q" litter Wilmothhaus).  Of Goldi's litter, a female and a male are going to 2 VERY experienced K-9 Handlers  to, hopefully, become street K-9's like Griff someday and carry on his legacy.  I am here today because this dog saved my life "on the street", not once, but twice. He was responsible for many commendations for us as a team and his demos to young school children brought much joy.  He was respected (and feared) on the street and had over 60 SWAT raids.  He was the 2006 Hero Dog of the Year by Bil-Jac Foods for an incident where he saved me and sent a career criminal back to prison for 28 years ("bad guy" went to the hospital 1st! LOL).  Griff was my partner, my friend and my companion.  I never had to worry about my "6" as I knew he would always be there.  I could hit my belt remote from wherever I was and I knew he would bail out of the car and find me AND make sure I went home safe. His tracking was like driving a Rolls(whether it was 3 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon--he found what he sought!!) and his courage and drives were superb. A lesser dog would have NEVER made it through the fight that Griff encountered from the career felon in the incident which made him the 2006 Hero Dog.  There was never any quit to Griff.   My husband's next competition dog is SG-Mack von der Wilmothhaus, an 18 month male out of Goldi and sired by Griff.  His temperament, nerves, drives, and grips etc. are handed down from Dad(Griff)---Goldi had a lot to contribute, too!  Tracking Mack is like walking behind Griff---he is a natural.  We have Griff semen stored, so there will be a few more litters sired by this Tom son.  The semen  is not available to outside females, but will be used on either one of our current  or future females as we choose. Griff's loss is painful and there will be forever a void here.  His memories (and offspring) live on and he will never be forgotten as he was a "GREAT"one!
We love these bloodlines so well that my husband's current competition dog is V- Cid von der Sandkautschneise Sch3, IPO3, KKL1a, an Ellute von der Mohnwiese son and, of course a Tom grandson.  Cid is "V" in conformation, 6 times Sch3 (one a "V"-297), 1 time IPO3 and KKL1 for Life.  His temperament and drives are excellent.   We are so very fortunate to have found another male with these bloodlines( and ability) that have what we look for in a competition, as well as,in  a breeding dog. Cid stands at stud here at Wilmothhaus.

Kathy, what a wonderful, heart warming story about Griff and you as a team.  You were lucky to have such a wonderful partner.

Hats off to you!! And so sorry for your loss, it must cut deep.

Griff, what a dog, may he rest in peace.

I am honored and blessed to have one of Griff's sons.  He is in training now for Schutzhund, but I will be doing personal protection after he is titled and surveyed.  He is an amazing, wonderful dog that hits like a freight train, but is very gentle and loving at home.  He is very handler focused, very intelligent, strong, fast and has the off switch in the house that some don't.  I didn't want my pup because of Tom vant Leefdaalhof, I wanted him because of Griff.  Griff, as you read above was a proven street dog, with real courage and real heart that pedigree alone cannot reveal.  HE is the reason I wanted the pup I have and I am truly blessed to have the honor of his companionship.
