Thunderdog, nice dog. Nice ped. I've talked to Malinda many times about Cesar. We used to own littermates. I'd be happy to own Thor.

That first pic of Qira you posted, Jen, shows her goofy happy eyes perfectly! I love that look. There is a "hint" of it in a lot of pictures I get, but I usually am trying to hold a toy or something to get her attention/focus... or I put her in a down/stay and she just looks concerned that I'm gonna leave her or something LOL. Do you by any chance know who has Durbas now? It still creeps me out how much she looks like him... but has her moms expression occaisionally too. It took a lot of digging through old threads and finding old pictures of Peddy for me to be able to see it, but I finally can... even though Qira's facial structure/head is Durbas' all the way.

Here is a couple "newer" pics (Oct/Nov ish)... the first 2 being the newest. They are crappy quality, I know... sun was setting behind me and I did not realize the camera was on the wrong setting... but there is something about them that I like! I need to get back out there with my "real" camera. Those damn phone cameras are just too handy.

I offered to take Durbas. The lady who they left the kennel to has him. I hate to think he's going to spend the rest of his life in a kennel and I hope to God she does take him home sometimes. My fear is she can't handle him and will just leave him there. I said I'd drive down and pick him up and she declined. Steve's friend Pete and I have repeatedly asked how he was doing to no avail. It's extremely sad.

That is awful. :( I hope she is taking care of him. When will people understand that these dogs are too smart to waste away behind bars? Qira would go crazy, and if he is anything close to her... I feel for him. Cry Smile

He's a lot of dog. He has more than one "live" bite when with Steve. He bit a guy who tried to grab Steve through his truck window in a parking lot not that long before Steve died. He's a lot to handle. Dee had trouble with him (and she's VERY capable) when she was ill. We've dropped a few hints to no avail. I know Steve would want him in a house. He was his last personal dog. I don't know what his situation is; she's not very forthcoming with information. We didn't find out anything about Arko until 2 weeks after she put him to sleep. She doesn't seem to "get" that these dogs have friends and they're not "just dogs." I know Dee trusted her or she would've made other arrangements. It was all quite sudden, though. I just hope she realizes what a dog like that needs for mental health. I'm sure Steve would want Durbas in a home over a kennel run for the rest of his life. The dog was very upset when Steve died and actually got sick. He's going to get worse and worse as far as aggression if left frustrated and kenneled all the time, then if they take him out, they're going to likely think he's dangerous or out of control, blah, blah, blah, and the it'll be a vicious cycle. I really hope he's being cared for, and not just thrown food.

Here are a few more "stunning individuals" that I've had the honor of photographing and meeting. I hope their owners don't mind me sharing some of the pics I've taken.

That last girl will be a real stunner when she grows up! She is SO cute!

Thought, I'd add another good looking sable dog to the thread.

Slam, looks like you got yourself a "Dislike Fairy" too !

What's to 'dislike' or disagree with about those two pictures ???

Honestly, I despair ... when we asked for a 'Like' button, I guess no one
thought about having to have the 'thumbs down' option as well.
And certainly not about some idiot(s) who sit out there at their keyboard
clicking it all the time for absolutely no good reason.
