You're going to be left wanting, then, because you still haven't proved anything. You've admitted that you have no intention of training or titling your oversized dog.  Essentially that means the dog is useless by the criteria working/sport people apply.  My smaller dog is also useless, because whoever had him before me wrecked him -- I don't think he'll ever be sound enough that I can put a BH on him, but we're going to keep trying for the sake of the dog's development.  It doesn't matter to me that he's useless, I got him for a pet because I don't have the time to do SAR or therapy work at this point in my life.

This is where you're missing the boat Shtal.  You're so personally invested in big dog = better that you can't admit the reasonable opinions to the contrary.  You haven't furnished anything resembling hard proof of your point.  You haven't given me anything to counter my own opinion (based on oversized dogs that I've known) -- that they're nice doggies but not particularly useful for anything aside from being pets.   Do it and I'll apologize gladly, because my ego isn't tied to the size or performance of my dog. :D

ETA: Too quick for me again!  This was in response to Shtal's reply to me.  I should use quotes, I suppose, to keep the conversation clear.

I don't know if Russia/Ukraine when outside of their country to compete for GSD tittles, my Uncle told me he knew some of the russian GSD back in late 1960's and 1970's had a champion tittle's in Russia/Ukraine itself.

So I simply don't know how to show you the Russian Tittle for this dogs.

apologies?

you have proven nothing more than your own ignorance. The dogs are useless if they cannot preform the duties assigned to the german shepherd dog as well as the breed standard dogs in the working dog community. So show some prrof they can or have an advantage. If not then I recommend quit degrading yourself by posting such ignorant claims and sarcastic remarks. Maybe treat others with some respect and they will give you some back. the day you show me proof is the day i will apologize.

" I never said bigger dogs just as good as smaller dog." (Shtal)

LIAR. :D Of course you've conveniently erased the posts where you were asserting that your bigger dog "had advantages".

Eh, I suppose I should go do something worthwhile today instead of wasting my breath, and perhaps trying the patience of people who are sick of reading this endless pointless argument.

You might want to consider why you kept that list of names of people who disagreed with you, and why you're so adamant about wanting an apology Shtal.  It points to a certain insecurity on your part. I really don't care about your inflated opinion of bigger dogs, other than to occupy some free time discussing things on the internet. Likewise why do you care what I think of oversized dogs? I'm never going to be buying one from you or anyone else, and that's about the extent of it.

I said before that bigger dog can try to compete for the Sch tittles, but I never said they are on the same level as smaller dog.

Shtal,

I completely retract my statement about over sized dogs like your Marmaduke. I have already decided to buy my  next working dog from this Gentleman.
allenfamilytrust.com/AHGSPhotoGallery.aspx

He even has a neutered dog he is offering for stud for FREE.
And another STUD that the vet estimates is about three years old and 140 pounds, I'm not sure where he came from since he has no papers, but he sure is BIG.
Plus if I want to I can even rent a dog from him.
And as you can tell from his females page they are always ready to breed

My problem with your dog Shtal was more that you were not training him to be a working dog. You seem to avoid that in all of your ramblings about what a GSD is supposed to be. If the dog was proportioned correctly and could work I would not have a problem with it.
I want to see a dog who can go OVER a 6' wall, not THROUGH it.

You just had to call me out Shtal when the threads about these oversized dogs die,  you go into withdrawls for the sake of arguing and start them up again. Go train your dog.
