Preparing to purchase a new bite work harness. Have seen several @ different on line schtz stores. Prefer padded chest and all leather. Could all you kind professionals lend some buying advice?  Also prefer one with an agitation handle. Thanks so much

I love my Bridgeport one, nice price too (~$50).  Listed as a tracking harness, but it has a padded breastplate and I know several SchH people that use this exact one for bitework.  I've heard they last a long time.  The straps have lots of holes/very adjustable so I got a size "large" for my dog at only 5 months old and I'll never need another size.

Frabo has an excellent one. I use it for male and female Good supple leather with nice wool pad. I believe I got it through Hallmark K9.

I suggest that you get one with multiple points of adjustment as well as one with a padded chestpiece and agitation handle on top. If you are buying for a young dog, as he matures you will want to be able to adjust more than just the chest strap for a good fit. Many places have them. I think Hallmark K9 and EliteK9 both carry this kind.

I use the bridgeport one also. The handle it great to hold one to. It fit Jami really nice, you can call them and they will help you fit your dog. I am very happy with the leather and where it it padded, it is very important to have good leather.
Always,

I can't say I'm completley unbiased because I work for them now, but I purchased my leather agitation harnesses from signaturek9 a little over two years ago (lol, I didnt start working for them until this past January...so I was un-biased at the time of purchase :p) and they're still working out great (about $50)...the Medium harness goes down to about 35Ibs of Mini Mal (one of my co-workers dogs) up to about 75Ibs of white sherm with extra room to spare...nicely adjustable :).

There is also a Biothane (sort of an easy to clean, durable, faux leather) harness with quick releases on either side for about 10 dollars more if you like that...the link to their harnesses is here : http://www.signaturek9.com/Store/Harnesses_7.  There's been some talk about the possibility of making an agitation harness out of our foam MWD material (the thought of which makes me drool).

Here are some of the images of my pups in their Leather Agitation harnesses :
