So I am wrong in that I state a SOFT PUPPY SLEEVE was used in the bitework for the 3 dogs that had already obtained a minimum of SCH1 title? Havent spoken to helper yet but assume not - BUT IT WAS NOT NEEDED AS YOU STATE Ok, fair cop. Maybe it wasn't needed. But it WAS used. AGAIN that is just WRONG!

Am I wrong that a rigid steel tape measure was used? NO BUT IT DID NOT PRODUCE INNACCURATE MEASUREMENTS WHICH IS WHAT YOU STATED On your dog maybe. What about the others? Still an incorrect way of measuring the dog.

Am I also wrong that dogs were measured on uneven ground? NORMAL GROUND - WOODEN WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER BUT PROVEN ACCURATE MEASURMENTS NOT AS YOU STATED The ground WAS NOT level. Again, What about the other dogs that were measured? It is not a correct way to measure a dog!

I don't think I am! I would just like someone from the organising team to clarify!

You see this as an attack on your own dogs. Why is that? Read YOUR ABOVE POSTS YOU MIGHT FIGURE THAT ONE OUT ! How about we see your dogs doing a full SCH1 routine - tracking, obedience and protection (on an adult firm sleeve!)? I love videos!

Thanks for the offer too Penny, but I am already committed this year to shows with my own dogs, so don't have a lot of free time. I`ll bet. Mo You obviously are feeling threatened by my statements. Is that a little bit of insecurity coming out and actually maybe a little bit of conscience.

Anyway this is not about your dogs personally, its about the event in general.

A puppy sleeve should not have been used and measurements should have been taken correctly, whatever the outcome. You as part of the organising team had a responsibility to ensure correct procedures were adhered to!

Regards,

Mike (Loving the pretty colours!)

perhaps mikey57 would like to be a helper next time-and he may like to not to wear  a sleeve at all.
I still reckon he's a kc. spy or a bagsd loony.
be interesting to know if he has ever organised anything worthwhile.Or perhaps his wife nags him at home.

Mikey asks....

! How about we see your dogs doing a full SCH1 routine - tracking, obedience and protection (on an adult firm sleeve!)? I love videos!

Love to let you see both of our girls work -    Come to the following venues....you know how you love to pick and choose,

Cheshire VPG - Sundays    -  Derbyshire VPG Saturdays   -  Walsall VPG Sundays

even better challenge for you - name your venue - name your helper - choose the sleeve - invite anyone that is interested, and come along.     Oh - thats probably the deciding factor isnt it.....  You havent come out of the cupboard yet.   Lets make it easy for you, send a friend.

Seriously, I have such an advantage here.   I am living with a bloke that eats and drinks "working". he is fairly new to VPG himself, so very very keen, and has afforded himself much time, and gained many friends in the sport. who have been invaluable with their help. The two dogs in question track every week,  for the hell of it with him, and do their A frames and jumps and dumbells etc - and the protection is done as above....Obedience we teach daily at our training school, out come the girls also....  once weekly for what we need for them.
This doesnt boast perfection by any means, it boasts commitment, interest, and a whole new concept of owning a GSD for show.  I am sure one day I will live to bury my head in my hands - if either girl doesnt do their bitework good enough at a show, I think most of us who are embracing the WUSV show scene here in the UK may go through that thought at the moment, but its not the end of the world if that happens.  you just lose that day and practice better or whatever it is that happens....  They are living creatures and have bad days and good days I am sure   I just have to wait and see now, how it all works out for me.

Now  -  Golden Question - perhaps this is the first one you will answer Mikey  -

"Be    So    Good    As    To     Tell     Us    Your     Story     Re     Your        Dogs"

Mikey, this is killing me......did you hide the tape? And I hate to ask but did you possibly replace that puppy sleeve? Just curious an' all!!!

by mikey57 on 06 April 2010 - 17:04

Good Evening Folks!

Hope you all had a good day! I have been very busy today.

Penny,  YOU pick any trial you like. GSDL and BAGSD have their events published on their relevant websites. How is that for choice....? Let me know which one you fancy and I will try to find time in my busy schedule to come along.

I tell you what, You have stated your dogs have their SCH1, lets make this easy. Repeat your SCH1 and let us see your 91 track, 88 obedience and allegedly 91 protection.

I don't believe for one moment you would repeat anywhere near those scores even if an average was taken over a few SCH1 trials....Do you? Especially after seeing the Koerung bitework, on a SOFT PUPPY SLEEVE! (of which is also a little bit of heelwork aka obedience!)

So, back to the original thread;

Do you think the judge would be happy to have you lay all the blame at his door for the failings in the first UK Koerung....?

Tell you what, I'll give him a call and point him to this thread huh?

As for being anonymous...I have told you who I am. You had the opportunity to meet me at your Flawed event like I said, but you chose to be far too superior to lower yourself to speak to a mere spectator!

Oh, by the way - its the Irish Sieger soon. Are you entered? I wonder if they would allow a SOFT PUPPY SLEEVE to be used and allow dogs to be measured incorrectly?

I will be at the show, so I will keep a special eye out for you and your dog(s). I'll even video them if I so may? God forbid if they hold their event properly huh - especially the bitework section. It could be a very long journey home and a large slice of humble pie for you if so.

Any news on why the SOFT PUPPY SLEEVE was used yet? I forgot to mention, there were plenty of people already there using full adult sleeves so it wasn't an availabilty issue was it? Also laying the blame at the helpers door is something I guess he wouldn't be too happy with huh?

Almost forgot....earlier in your thread you talk about the SV not responding to anonymous people. Are you saying that anybody who has a genuine enquiry for the SV they will take no notice of, unless they know them? That was a bit of a crazy statement you made isn't it?

I am not an anonymous person. You KNOW who I am - I told you previously!

As for your 'bloke' as you put it. I feel for him I really do..........

Regards,
Mike.

Hello,

I have contacted the judge and the SV so now await clarification of their views on the matter of poor procedures and the very real issue of a puppy sleeve being used.

I will hopefully post info on their responses here in due course.

Regards,

Mike.

OH   -  BE STILL MY BEATING HEART    "   should I start running  now ?

ha ha  -  didnt you get the response you wanted quick enough, from the other post ?  is no one answering you?  -  so go for more and more !!!  What will your next post say !!!

Mikey, I know it wont matter to you because you are totally anonymous, and no more a Mike Mackenzie than I am - but at the risk of making you kick your kegs off, you are making a fool of yourself here.....

What is it to me if you ask the SV or ask the judge !!!

What would it mean to me?  nothing much at all. possibly annoyance that the SV would see that we have nutters amongst us tht go to these lengths,    What would it mean for you?  well who knows what you get off on behind closed doors, so it could be a real turn of for you to feel you made a move for mankind....   I really dont know.   Feel free.  I do intend answering your earlier post, but at the moment am just having dinner.... dont know why we even looked...  Mo.

by mikey57 on 06 April 2010 - 20:04

Enjoy your dinner. see I can do smiley faces too!

Regards,

Mike.
