Here are a couple picture's of my sable girl Askia.
2 months old.
In both picture's you can see she had more black in her front area than anything else, but her back had a golden color to it, so I was worried on how she would turn out.
This is her at 11 months old in the fall.
And this photo was taken this past Sunday at 2 years 8 months old. Mind you she is still blowing her coat.
Her coat color to this day still changes by the season. Maybe b/c I'm in Michigan??

Shelly's got it just right. My Sch 3 bitch did the same thing. She was the lightest colored pup in the litter but ended up with nice rich, deep coloration.
The only pups that I've had that stay that tan color have been our labs. LOL.

Paul,
coincidentally, I got a couple new photos of Penny, taken last weekend in Germany at 18 months of age. I was surprised to see how much she changed in about 6 months. Of course, the AKC style stack makes her look different as well.

palerider,
Please post the pedigrees of your world class dogs, so that we can see their incredible achievements. If you feel so comfy posting your remarks about the knowledgeable people here, it must be because of one of two reasons: You either forgot your medication, or you have the best GSDs in the world, dogs that would surpass even the best working dogs or showline dogs. Please let us see them!
