Two Moons - I have left lol No am just picking out certain posts from now on and only looking at the ones that have usefull information. Didnt plan on commenting though but couldnt resist once i noticed someone willingly telling others to murder innocent puppies just cause of a colour fault!

What am trying to say is, i can understand culling a littler if a health issue appeared after the litter was born. Culling for the sake of culling is classed as animal cruelty in my eyes and if a Breeder is willing to end a life just cause the puppy doesnt match the standard then that breeder should not breed again and should be named and shamed so potential buyers know who they are buying off. How many dog owners would wanna buy of a person who has murdered puppies for no reason?

I expressed my opinion regarding faulty coloring and that's all it is my opinion.  Personaly, I wouldn't go thru the headache of raising a pup to an age where it could be nuetered/spayed just to place it in a pet home. If you want to call it murder or unfair go ahead it's not going to hurt my feelings. I will leave the SL's alone, if you don't have anything nice to say.................

I understand it's your opinion and I am not knocking you for it I just don't agree with it.

I'm really just trying to figure out logically what the big issue is about color.

As far as spaying and neutering age it's being done now as early as 6wks... (not that i'm an advocate of it) but, you would still get a dog ( with slightly longer legs)  that would still  be a great dog for someone.

Aug 3 2010 Geordie "Rooka - i think your words of truth should close this post. Its simple, these dogs could go to great pet homes. No one is encouraging their breeding we just want breeders too see that they wont be unwanted pups and that they dont have to be killed" Only 6 weeks later and you're off again on this old post. Take it to the general topic section please or let it go. There is another post (at least 1) on this topic. Enough. I don't see the value of this thread continuing unless the OP is getting paid for each hit.

I would encourage breeding of the off colors as well as the "normal" colors, but then, I think the restrictions of color in the breed standard unnecessarily reduces the gene pool overall, to the ultimate detriment of the breed.  (ducks and covers...)  :)
