Yep it was me but that was just an opinion nothing more below is what i said in reply to bill owens post

I would imagine that the league will implement things in stages as in hip/elbow scoring heam testing for all members as like you said bill we do not want to do the same as the KC, but for the moment at least we need to get every thing up and running, so lets say the league starts a compulsory health tests for members dogs from 2012 onwards that would be for all dogs of breeding age, In time i would like to see the league start a proper pedigree service with all working qualifications and health tests included in the paper work.

Now the reason i said 2012 was because it will give all members time to get their dogs tested if not done already and they would know that to remain a member then their breeding stock would need to have passed health tests by then.

I'm sure once the League get the wusv events under way, and existing and new clubs establish a pattern of shows, I would hope this will be well under way by the beginning of 2011. I would expect the League would have established a set of ground rules for membership which will include all testing to do with health problems. Let's put the foundations in before we build the walls, and put the roof on. Membership must include breeders accepting a minimum standard of health checks which I'm sure most members will comply with, I will expect any existing, and new members failing to comply, will have their membership terminated.  Spot on Bill (Blerio) - the League has the facilities to check who of their members have the health tests done by either checking the BRS or asking them directly with a standard circular/letter/return form just as they did with the Vote to Not Sign the Undertaking.  The League will probably grow bigger and need more staff, but I am sure they will consider this when the time comes.  I would say most members have already done the basic tests available and now also know that elbow scoring will become compulsory.  Even in Germany it took a few years to phase in certain tests.

It is only 2 weeks from sending in the reply to the Undertaking - the League must be given the chance to set out its Stall.  A number of Clubs and Groups have applied for Affiliation and look to the League for guidance for the future - it is an opportunity that I am sure they will not let pass them by - give them time.  All Clubs/Groups evolve with time.

We are looking to lots of helpful volunteers to make each Event work - even if you do not enter your dog a little support would not go amiss - get in touch with your Regional Event organisers and offer to do a little something - every bit of support will be welcomed I can assure you.

Absolutely right Aileen, we will be looking for this with our club membership as well.

As well as regional show (we have the puppy/junior show coming up in May) we are setting up ring training  classes and in conjunction with the GSDL Working group are hoping to set up puppy socialisation and BH training classes in the near future.

HI Mary
I believe the class for you is adult female, however i think you need a UK Breed survey as a requirement
