Jen I really like that video--thanks for posting.  I too like to see pups interacting with each other and checking everything out.  My pup has just learned how to stand up and push my computer chair around and I just crack up.  Also she and my almost 2 yr old are pretty buddy buddy and they play a lot together.  Listening to her barking and growling is a hoot................

jenn, I do not think any price a breeder can get for a pup is too high. I also do not think ethical breeders breeding good dogs are doing anything wrong.

the majority of GSD breedings are bred as any other breeding of livestock, and I do not consider anything wrong with that, if they are proven dogs and ethical breeders.

what chaps my butt is those who claim to be breeding for the breed and cashing checks as fast as they can.

Jeff obviously bred a litter for himself and his wants. I recognize and appreciate that, regardless of the many times we have bumped heads here in the past, and regardless of how different my goals are from his.

but these folks who breed litter after litter with no intention of furthering their goals are the height of hypocrisy if they claim to be doing anything different than breeding livestock.

So it's the hypocrisy, which is what I thought you meant, and what bothers me, too. I have no problem saying I'm selfish and started breeding because I didn't like hardly anyone else's dogs (sure, there are some here and there that are great, but I mean the mainstream average breeder wasn't producing puppies I was clamoring to get) and yes, thought I could do better. I have no problem selling them because I don't want to end up on an episode of Animal Hoarders. Thanks for clarifying, Rik.

I think even litters bred for totally opposite purposes can "better the breed" especially when all breeders are honest about what they are striving for. I find many lie about that, saying they're "breeding to the standard" when in fact, they are intentionally breeding mild dogs who look good because that's what the uninformed pet home will pay the most money for. If we all would say straight up what we think the breeding will produce, what we TRULY see in a particular puppy, and be honest from day one, I think that would do more to "better the breed" than all this arguing about who follows the rules and who's a backyard puppy mill.

I think the best thing Molly can do for herself at this point is to be completely quiet. After reading this forum I can honestly say that I would much rather deal with Jeff than Molly. Just going off what has been said that is.

Well, thanks for that. I think that I am on the right track, we will see. I like them a lot. Today I almost got my old slow ass handed to me when green collar decided enough with the pushing on me and went after me.

This is a female from my last litter. She is 5 months old. This is a picture that her owners sent me today. She lives with a family that owns their own winery. She has 12 fenced in acres to run in.

Here is her sister. This is the other black and tan female from my last litter.  There were 2 dark black and tan females.

They both have their sires expression... This is their sire, Aiko.

I remember reading in one of the SchH USA magazines about that dog. If I remember rightly he was SchH3 and IPO3 and I think had an FH title. I think there use to be a video of him working, but I can seem to find it.

Must have removed it.  Like how mysteriously, I can't find any trialing video of Eagle Eichenluft, but I know I've watched a few before.

Janet Birk had a Sch3 Chessie named Jason. I got to hear all kinds of interesting stories about him. He had a lot of different titles as well.
