GSDPACK

by GSDPACK on 14 April 2011 - 16:04

Because I am yet to see what they brought to the table. Nothing personal. I am waiting for the great puppies that everybody has, the great dogs everybody talks about to do something and see them (which I will) to actually say..I like!

But then I like dogs like Dargo, who was a nice dog but he was no sporty sport. I loved that dog!!! I wanted that dog LOL. I always felt that sometimes the most popular is not in the favor of everybody. Again I am just gonna have to wait. Right now I dont like any because I have not seen much yet. That is the pathetic thing, I rather breed my own competition, or working dog than get a puppy from someone else....we call it a control freak LOL

So far so good... I am yet to see....

Great day,
Pack

That would be my dod.  I am not going to tell you the name, you will know it when everyone starts talking about my dog.  My dog is the bestest dog ever, none can compare.  Oh I am a little biased about my dog. lol

GSDPACK, you know Jenni's Caleb von Schraderhaus is the absolute best Dargo son he ever produced, by far.  No sporty sport he, either, so in competition you might never hear of him, but he is the epitome, to me, of what I like.

"What does the kennel name  talka marda mean?"

Karen, Talka Marda is from J.R.R. Tolkien (of The Lord of the Rings fame).  It is mentioned a couple of times in either his Unfinished Stories or else his Lost Tales.  If you do a search for Tolkien and Talk Marda you can find one or two links.

Yes, totally bias here, not denying it. IF I want a pet, I get a pound dog, if I want a working dog, I have to put my hads on the sire and the dam or at least see them work which is hard in the US (too big) I purchased puppies from people i know personaly and trust their knowlege backed up with handling and working theirown stock. It is hard to find here in the US. When I found it I was not willing to pay 2-2.5 K for a puppy without shipping when I can go to europe and get te same thing for 1200 bucks.

Hunger.. I have never seen Caleb work, I have never met anybody who worked him or never talked to anybody who did. I have never met any of Jenni's dogs, nobody I know have and nobody I know worked them so I have no opinion on her dogs. It means nothing though what I think or dont think anyway. I just happen to do Schutzhund as a low point sport for me but I have something to show for. That is kinda my philosophy.  Scores dont impress me a dog does. Makes sence? But if somebory takes a dog and does the best and V in every discipline in a National level event, that has my respect.. Becasue I know how it feels to not get V scores... hehe

I hope to see some nice dogs produce well and see some really great dogs in my pedigrees later down the road. I hope t see my dogs in the best dogs pedigrees also..hell who would not. Time will tell.

As it is now, I have to say I like Dargo in my pedigree, I like Holly in my pedigree and there are people who like Holy, worked Holy and loved what she had to offer for the future generations. I purchased Holy's puppy based on a trusted friends opinion who worked her and told me.. buy a puppy, you wont regret it. I like Emilka in my pedigree as like her daughter Oliv as I have been told by her competition, Nice female!

I used to be able to see these dogs, now I have to rely on my friend's opinions. LOL so it is hard for me to say I like when I have not seen.

GSDPack I agree with you about Dargo, I really like the dogs he produces. He has some really nice female & male offspring that were linebred off him as well, like Xant z Jirkova Dvora.

I also really like Vito, love the drives & structure of the offspring, but the ones I purchase developed too much on the small side for my taste, for this reason I prefer Ellute now.

You guys seem to be talking about two different Dargos.

DDR Dargo -- http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=61807

Czech Dog-- http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=463148

Re: Vito and progeny size--that may be one thing that Noditha helped with in the breeding that produced Bomber and Bandit. They're not small and don't seem to be producing small.

by Gustav on 14 April 2011 - 21:04

Vito and the J litter Talks Marda I think will have lasting influence. I think that Bandit and Bomber could be very influential similar to Timmy and Troll though probably not to the same degree. I think that dogs through Vox vd Kine and Sid vh Pixner will have lasting influence in acquiring good hardness similar to the Korbelbachs of the past.
