Como vom Bonauer Wald

Love his drives and his lineage.  Kennel that has v Molinari Enzo bred a female to Como this year.

I think a legend has to meet or exceed the legends that begot them.  Not to say Como will but he just might and I love the lines on both sides.

Pack means DARGO HA JA DA.

Still related though; my angel is a Grim grandson. ;-)

Hunger, you're making Caleb blush and he says he looks terrible in pink.

Como' as you know goes back to Tom his progeny is working at the highest level, National and International in the Sports World, My next Pup is possibly going to be a son or daughter of Como, Born 4 days ago, However i must see what i want to see when i go and vist the Pups otherwise i will look elsewhere, so nothing is certain until that day, All i know is that the mother of this Litter is a very strong female, She is according to the breeder She said Ronny told her that she was a very hard Female when the person took her to Ronny to be mated to Como,
That is what i want to see in the female mother so that is a good sign i hope the Puppies are to my liking when i see them at 5 weeks old, then if i see something, then i will make another trip back at 7 weeks old,

Steve1-Hope you will update us about what you see and your new pup.  Very exciting and since my house is full, I'd love to see a seperate thread about your pup so I can live vicariously..lol.  Looked for your email but didn't see it.

Jenni-You know having seen Caleb in person, he is more magnicifent than in pictures and at his age with nary a grey hair, leaping onto tables and having the energy of a two year old, says a lot for both genes and that raw diet.  Capri is also magnificent as well!

As for those who haven't seen Caleb, he is what legends are made of, but only a few lucky souls will get to know that or ever have one of his pups.  We only hope we get a little of what he brings to the table.  He performs in the real world so he wins no prizes, but he is amazing and what a German Shepherd should be.

Per performing competition dogs, for sure I think Como will be the next legend.  Look too for Wilmothhaus' Griff ( a son of Tom Van't Leefdaalhof, and the father of one of my pups.) He is also a "real dog"  and as a police K9 was named Dog Hero of the Year.  His offspring, all puppies still, might be right up there with Como. The last litter, of the three males, one was kept by Wilmothhaus, one imported back into Germany, and I got the other.  I know the other two will be competing internationally.

i think we will continue to see fero blood in our pedigrees, but fero himself will become obscure.  we will see branches coming off from him thru his various sons/daughters.  i think people will continue to linebreed and it will be common to see linebreeding on one or more sons or possibly 3 different sons on one pedigree.  that is already being done in some cases and i think we will continue to see it------because it works.

added later:  i don't know that i should say this, but i am going to make a prediction regarding javir and his littermate, jimbeam.  i look for javir to be very sucessful in producing competition/sport dogs - even to 3 or 4 generations, however, i see jimbeam producing more serious, probably real working dogs.  there was a lengthy discussion on  the euro list a while back about javir's qualities and that discussion suggested that javir has retained characteristics of the old claudius blood----i beg to differ.  i believe that it is not javir, but his litter brother jimbeam who has retained the claudius characteristics.  i am not unfamiliar with these traits.  many years ago, we had an ajax haus dexel grandson who also carried claudius blood.  i see many more of these traits in jimbeam.  it all depends in what you are looking for.  if you want a wonderful, beautiful competition dog, go with javir.  if you want to retain the old, serious working dog blood, go with jimbeam.  this is just my opinion, ofcourse, and time alone will prove whether i know what i am talking about or just prattling.  ;)

ziegenfarm , maybe its also done because its hard to avoid , not much westlines available without fero somewhere on the ped , hows that for genetic diversity

Ziegenfarm - currently we are seeing line breeding on fero as well as timmy and troll - so in twenty years - those dogs will be so far back.....- which lines out of them are you talking about.  We are talking about dogs that are currently on the ground.....

Later in  the evening  after Como won the WUSV Title i had the privilege of taking him for a Walk. Something i probably will not do again but it was very nice,
However i have watched him working on many occasions, and again at the end of this month in the second selection trial for the WUSV this year, Of course he does not need to enter as he is already selected to go to the WUSV as Champion, but he will still be working i expect towards the National Championship a little later on
Yes, i will let you know with some Pic's if i get the PUp from a Como breeding if it goes okay towards the end of May

I did not know that Jenni's dog was a K-9 service dog in a unit? What city he works for? Just curious.
