You have not asked anything YOU have told everyone and when they did not agree with you then the verbal abuse started from you everyone posting on here were morons , BUT i guess that is all you are capable of doing sweet fuck all else for sure, To have a MOD cut your first post TWICE says it all
As for my Dogs the Guys on here know them fairly well, They have seen Training Pic;s and Videos of the Dog in the Avatar as she has grown up, I have never held anything back about my Dogs and i am not frightened to show them, But you talk the talk but come up empty handed.

I knew that getting on these pages would result in my running my mouth, right along with the rest of the elite GSD owners.I do agree with the trainer statement alot can be said for a good trainer, If you begin your portrait with a ratty shit canvas to get the painting complete you must spend time repairing along with painting. If you begin with the clean propper canvas laying down the paint is simple.Rather than post i will go back reading these occasionally and a chuckle.

Nothing finer than Belgium linen for stretching canvas, especially a portrait painting. Interesting coincidence, because that's where Steve lives!

""what happened to the real german shepherds?""

I would assume they are still tending their sheep.

Everyone wants to know what happend to the German Shepherd.. what happend to them was Americans. thats what happend to the breed and I as a American say this because i know it is true, there are soo many people breeding what they feel is how a shepherd should be but it dosent follow the standards. I will be the first to admit i started breeding what I felt was good for the breed the litter wasent registered and was through my dilute female i still feel their temperments fit what a shepherd should be but i wouldent breed a dilute again or reccomend someone to buy one. but i do honestly feel what happend was the Americans

Uh, can we put some of the blame on others? I think the Chinese and others are buying up all the SLs too! In fact, why are you singling out the good ol' US and A? The whole world is breeding and demanding a garbage version of the GSD. Even Germany is to blame. They know where the $ is, and they produce what is in demand. I don't see Ferrari making a cloth interior compact car, do you?

It is good to here people like yourself own up to have done something wrong towards the changing in this Breed of Dog. However i cannot really comment on the SL the first real SL i saw was in Belgium a World Champion SL belonging to Robert Venus in the early 80's. He had this Male and 6 Females at the time, The Dog was so low on its rear end i asked Robert if there was something wrong but he smiled and said NO, nothing wrong he was very nearly on the ground with his rear end, i remember it well.
However the USA is not all to blame by a long chalk, all countries are to blame where you have a German Shepherd owner and because it is a G.S it has to be bred from,THAT is the problem with this breed indiscriminate breeding. And many do it in the working line, they do no work with the Dog No offical Joint Certification and without that Stamp the Dogs Joints are not proven in the law of the Country it resides in offically. What do many say OH' my Pups are going to the Police or for this and that Of course they are going to various places BUT it does not mean the Dogs bred from have been tested this is the big problem where i see it, INferoir dogs are being bred from by the bucket load, there is very little planning and looking into the bloodlines side by most.
I once made out a crtitria of what Dogs should be bred from but all you got was the Pups would cost a fortune, YES and good job to it would stop the sort of person buying these dogs who only buy to breed from them Those sort of people we do not need owning the breed.

So I join the board and this is the first thread I read thru.

Some pretty amusing stuff here.. really.

On the serious stuff I think that there is a quite a difference in training a dog for SchH trials and Protection and K9 work.. but a lot of people do not seem to know this (I suspect there are a few posters here who do :) ).

FWIW I think the OP is... (how do I say this politely).. "the backside of a Mule."

The Real German Shepherds are out there working for their handlers, either tending sheep or doing other jobs.  Some of those jobs is living amicably with their families and being great companions.

I never got the whole need for big savage dogs.  Seems guys who need this (as opposed to drivey well trained dogs) are proabably phsically lacking in certain areas....

Sounds like a "little mans complex" or "he needs a big gun because he has a small pistol"
