If you've an entry or are supporting Chequers BAGSD show, then this is where your money will be ending up. http://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/news/4379926.Benefit_cheat_given_conditional_discharge/ This woman, working from home, has set up as head of her own unregulated GSD rescue, with no independently verified accounts. According to their website (http://www.ukgermanshepherdrescue.co.uk/index.html ), 21 dogs were rehomed in the month of May and with an adoption fee of up to £250...................well, do the math yourself! How astounding is that?!

So how do BAGSD figure in to it Charles?      MO

by charlesppope on 28 June 2011 - 20:06

BAGSD are hosting the show and rally with proceeds going to this woman.

by popsox on 28 June 2011 - 20:06

done a bit of googling :)
looks like a BRANCH of BAGSD running a companion dog show (not BAGSD itself) - and it's a WALCSS show - fantastic - all the funny colours with long hair then - class!

Oh dear - this sounds abysmal.    Where are the BAGSD EC to stop this nonsense.   If its a branch of BAGSD runing a companion dog show, then it is under the umbrella of BAGSD - and controlled by same.  Tell me this woman isnt a bone fide member of BAGSD too !!     It gets worse.     Mo.

I do not know this charity or this woman, but it should not be confused with GSD Rescue UK, which is a registered charity.

Also folks, lets remember that long coat classes are now held at Regional events, and that the SV too has brought them back in from the cold. Excluding off colours obviously.

Dont know if she's a member of BAGSD or not Mo. Show organisers know about this woman and have dismissed the facts about her as 'sour grapes'.............go figure! I dont understand it either.
Suzanne Syers was a volunteeer for GSD Rescue UK until recently. Co ordinator for the West side of country. One of the foster homes she was responsible for was with people banned from owning dogs!

Abby Normal: You’d be naive to believe registered charity status elevated you to the ‘beyond reproach’ status.
GSD Rescue UK management has its own history of financial irregularities and court cases HOWEVER this isn’t about them. This is about a woman who takes dogs from pounds (stray dogs to you and me), or finds them on line then rehomes them often within the same day with no assessments . She can not enforce the adoption spaying agreement with new owners , and so some of the dogs have been used for breeding.

Done a bit of digging, spoke to a few people, few things came to light (could be why you aren't geting the reaction you are after 'Charles')

1. charlesppope is a made up name - makes you lack credibility

2. I hear you emailed all the show sponsors - this has not gone down well (edited to add some breaking news: seems you have inadvertently increased support for this 'show' by your unprofessional approach there so bravo to you!)

3. This story has been done before and noone cared then

4. If people actually knew your identity they would see the connection and realise this is purely a personal vendetta between two people that fell out

IMHO you have gone about this all wrong - you could have done things so much better to get maximum impact.

Just a few thoughts to throw out there.....

Charles Pope I would be very careful, your 'real' name is getting realised and considering the type of work you are involved in in the GSD world this would not to well for your credibility. Do not think for one minute there arent people who know what kind of research you do and where this vendentta is originating from so think carefully before you carry on.
