Firstly you mean Border, as in boundary, not boarder as in plank!

If you're interested then start with researching Pohranicni Staze, I've added an old link that you might like to read to get you started;

Thanks Ronin, your post helped me also. My dog has PS in his background but not sure about all the other names. If you get a chance can you look at Argo daisynina dvora and give me a overview of what you think? I just got him six weeks ago and have little to no knowledge of bloodlines.

 Jreid & Gang;

             Thanks for the Link "Hyro" is Beautiful good Luck with him. When I  spoke with
Jiri  from  Jinopo Kennels in Cz last I asked whom was his favorite Dog of all time. Which dog was a dog he
would wish he could have back. After some thought He said without hesitation "Grim" , whose in "hyro's" Pedigree.  As for Border Patrol dogs
I have two they are extremely intelligent and are great in protection (both have "Grim" in the pedigrees)
these Dog where bred to be good trackers/loyal and great police dogs their so much to I love about them
they are dependaple watch dogs and protectors when in the right hands.
                        Anyone whom has/had  the prividege of owning one will tell you how great they are, most
German shepards are all good protectors but something about the Border Patrol Dogs has fascinated many
a handler an I have also been bit by the Bug. Google... Border Patrol dogs to find out more or Hopefully Prager
will see this thread and add some additional Information :-).

Kindest Regards,

Border11

I've never had a border patrol dog, but I have owned dogs with some in their pedigree. And what's weird, is that genetically, they just knew to tie themselves up to a post and wait for a bad guy to drive up and agitate the 5#!+ out of them. I know people that know people that have Hitler dogs in their pedigrees.

I am very fond of the PS 'lines'. My girl is half czech and I can honestly say that I will continue learning and gravitating towards these dogs.

My girl is only 7 months old but is already showing great promise (and a tone of attitude..lol). ;)

Elisabeth, not saying it isn't, but how do you know which half is contributing what? Have you noticed that it is becoming harder and harder to find an all Czech dog? Many of you are pretty stoked about jiri. Please go look at all the pedigrees on his site. Most, if not all of them are mixed with other lines. The best GSD I ever had was a mix of Czech, ddr, and west.
