Thank you, Nikki04, & no problem, we enjoy spoiling her. Thank you for your prayers, that is another force to be reckoned with, she is being borne along by your spiritual support as well. jackie harris

She's such a brave girl looking out for her family!  Like you said Jackie, Kali demonstrates the gsd spirit.

Love the pictures and am sending well wishes your way for everyone.

Just to let you know my girl survived 13 months of great health with adenocarsanoma;  they were good months with no pain and happy walks and play.  Sooooooo miracles are possible.  And in my girl (this goes back 3 years they knew they did not get it all when they did surgery) so I knew it was lurking.

Best of luck and it sounds like you are enjoying her immensely.  Nan

Nans gsd, that is awesome! Would you mind sharing with me some of what to expect? My vet did not really go over disease progression, possibly because she was pretty puzzled by what she found, also because she had a family emergency & we had to switch to the other vet in the practice. Kali's tumors were growing like crazy, but now they seem to have plateaued, they've been the same size for about 5 days, I was having to increase her pain meds daily, but for the last 2 days I've actually cut back a little & she's been good. Her tumors are in the skin of her back & tail, & in the lymphatic system & joints of her right foreleg & neck. The joint tumors are what hurt her the most, although she does bite at her tail & back at times; & the neck tumor is the one that scares me the most. The vet couldn't remove but 1 of them, because they were so involved in the tissue surrounding them, it would have meant a complete dissection of her joint & neck......not easy to recover from & very painful. So we know we have a lot of tumor burden with heavy involvement of the surrounding structures, including some blockage of lymphatic drainage; but beyond that I'm in the dark. Any insight you could share with me would be helpful. There's remarkably little on line information about this! Thank you, jackie harris
