Monday Night Update from Jovi's Breeder, Nelli:

"Finally home from the visit. The update is very positive. Tonight Jovi was the most alert and animated since her sickness began. Still pretty frail but more spirited then expected. I'm posting few pictures I took of her and Denise. I was also able to attend one of Jovi's walks (she is now being taken out every 4 hrs to potty), it felt great to be there with her. After the walk Jovi's stomach had to be drained again (also done every 4 hrs), still about 120 ml bloody fluids. She was then hooked back on 5 monitors and the feeding tube. Plasma and blood (red blood cells) transfusion started. That takes about 2x 3 hours. Her body was not rejecting it, that's good. And...after I got home, I got a call from Denise that Jovi had a stool! Not a healthy one but considering that she hasn't eaten for 6 days, it is great news! I'm so looking forward to learning about additional positive results. "

Donated a mere $20 today because even though Jovi may be home from the veterinarian, her bills will not just "disappear" because she's no longer staying there.

Praying that we will continue to see updates on how Jovi is doing, as I'm sure she's far from being out of the woods yet. Poor girl!

For the record, I believe Jovi is still hospitalized at the moment--it was her *breeder* who was 'finally home', as in returning to her home after visiting Jovi @ the vet's... But DDRCzechFan is right, even after she's finally discharged and goes back home, she's racking up a pretty hefty tab at the vet's now, and those bills aren't going to vanish just because Jovi's recuperating at home by then. Every little bit helps take a bite out of the balance. :)
