"Finally home from the visit. The update is very positive. Tonight Jovi was the most alert and animated since her sickness began. Still pretty frail but more spirited then expected. I'm posting few pictures I took of her and Denise. I was also able to attend one of Jovi's walks (she is now being taken out every 4 hrs to potty), it felt great to be there with her. After the walk Jovi's stomach had to be drained again (also done every 4 hrs), still about 120 ml bloody fluids. She was then hooked back on 5 monitors and the feeding tube. Plasma and blood (red blood cells) transfusion started. That takes about 2x 3 hours. Her body was not rejecting it, that's good. And...after I got home, I got a call from Denise that Jovi had a stool! Not a healthy one but considering that she hasn't eaten for 6 days, it is great news! I'm so looking forward to learning about additional positive results. "

Praying that we will continue to see updates on how Jovi is doing, as I'm sure she's far from being out of the woods yet. Poor girl!
