Wow!!!  A postponement of the counting of the ballots would be a huge humiliation.  So much for the harmonious unanimous agreement of the board.  Hard to imagine that all that has been put into action on this would wind up as such a calamity.

The process of this ballot counting is in my mind very questionable but knowing that some on the board would think so also, gives me some hope that the rule of law and order will prevail.

The membership simply was not appropriately prepared, informed of the reasons for the by law changes.  And it came way too soon after the new board took office.  Things like this require preparation and trust building.  I feel that this is a valid criticism of the way the by law changes were presented to the membership.

Besides this, there are so many other items the board has to do that is more important, like getting the board minutes approved and out to the membership before moving on fundamental changes. There are minutes not approved from last year.  Who is going to approve them when some of the board members of that time are no longer on the board and some current board members had not yet been on the board?

Oh by the way... don't post  any of these facts on the "Official GSDCA-WDA" Facebook page as it will be deemed inappropriate and deleted.   I can't figure out how it would be inapproriate, their policy states no harrassement, abusive language, or profanity....   Oh yeah, it also says  "etc."   Guess that means anything that the moderators don't like or find harmonious  is considered inappropriate and gets deleted.

The By Law changes, according to the email from the President of the WDA states that "the entire Board of Directors that was present at the January 2012 San Diego Board meeting reviewed, discussed and unanimously approved the three proposed Bylaws Amendments."

These By Law changes were recommended by an attorney to better the By Laws of the WDA.  Who was the attorney and when was he consulted?

Unbelievable to think that this was the first meeting of the board and such fundamental changes to the organization was discussed and passed with a new President and board while they still seem to be working on the 2012 budget.  We are in 2012!

It all does not make any sense to me.  Well the ballots have to be in by Monday the 16th.  Wonder how this is all going to work out.  Never a boring minute in the world of the GSD.

Post amended to include 2nd paragraph.

sunshine: "I learned something new about a possible conflict of interest when it comes to a credit card company..." Huh! And the possible conflict of interest is? What credit card company? How about the facts, please.

grshep9: They plan on voting on the tally process in the meeting in Philadelphia? Where did you hear this?

JudyK: You say you volunterred several years ago? Was that when Danny Spreitler was presidet? Did you try volunteering when Cindy Petersen was president?

itsmyopinion: -  I asked the president for what the procedure for tallying the votes was going to be and he said the board had a copy and it would be voted on in Philadelphia.

Does anyone know what the process is for securing the ballots until the Philly meeting?
