Western Rider

Hexe I agree a couple have taken a wrong turn looking for the Steve Leigh thread.

I will hope that  you reset your Garmins or whatever or a lot of editing will be invoked.

I am really surprised that two guys would rather  talk about each other or another guy than about HIPS.

I am losing faith.

How about those hips, anyway?

How is any of this productive?  if you want to find an answer to some question you have do research don't come to message boards.  you are confronted with people who claim expertise, but act like they are 12.

Aw now, Thomas, do nothing is not really an accurate description; you need to sharpen your internet search skills!

I gave up engaging in any form of debate or discussion with that individual years ago, when he was still posting on working dog email lists. It is fruitless to try and do something of that nature with someone who is mentally ill and not receiving any treatment or therapy for it, and who has no wish to gain command of that illness...it is just an exercise in frustration for both parties in such situations.

Ditto, Hexe.

Actaully, Thomas, some of my comments were deleted as well.  Let me try to explain to you how it works: when we, either of us, violates the TOS by resorting to childish personal attacks, our comments get removed.  No favoritism...seems pretty straightforward if you ask me so man up, admit that you were wrong, as was I, move on, and if you have an opinion to offer on the role of genetics in hip dysplasia, share your insight.

Hey Thomas, did you decide to post just to derail the conversation due to personal issues with Keith? Have any insights you want to share concerning HD?

Bottom line: HD is primarily genetic.

Have to take my hat off to the dude. Reading posting history, the dude has owned 1 GSD, did a google on HD, talked to 3 veterinarians and has pretty much solved the issue of HD in the GSD. A feat that has eluded many serious breeders for 100+ years.

I now regret that I did not recognize what a monumental accomplishment this is in the GSD world and would like to suggest that GSD enthusiasts declare Aug. 1 as "dude" day in his honor.
