Thank you Thumbs Up

Oh, wow, Gautam, he looks *beautiful*!  The dullness in his expression is gone, replaced with one of interest in his surroundings and what's going on, his coat, though sparse at the moment, looks to be in better condition, and above all, his ribs aren't showing as if he were wearing them outside his body and his stools are normal!

And yes, you are 1000% right--it doesn't matter if he's east/west in the front or cowhocked in the rear, what matters is that he's well on his way to a full recovery, and your affection for him.  He probably won't mature into the breeding candidate you may have hoped for, but he's not the only GSD with that kind of front and/or that kind of rear structure, and he won't be the last of them, either...and neither fault will detract from him being a loving, loyal and happy companion to you and your family members.

Thank you so much for sharing these pictures with us!

What a great way to start my day!! He looks like he is doing so well.  Gautam, your perserverence throughout all of this is to be commended.  So many people are so glad you sent us the pictures to know that one beautiful German Shepherd is well on the road to recovery. Give that big boy a hug for me, will you?

Hugs.  He is looking great.   You have done an excellent job in getting him to recovery, especially with you being ill of late.

May he bring you many years of joy.

Gautam, he looks marvellous! Long may he continue to improve, just love him for who he is. Is he enjoying playing with your other pup now he is feeling better?  Hug from me too please (and a kiss, he is so devilishly handsome). I would still what your path was from buttermilk to this!  Who knows, it may help someone else.

There is far more to our relationships with our dogs than just being breeding prospects, I love their characters and companionship more than anything, it is priceless. Anything else we achieve together is just the icing on the cake!

I too would like to know what you did to make him so much better. I know I ranted about EPI and I apologize if it wasn't so. But what did you do??
