"  I have found from the evidence of this site that i can put ten Breeders or trainers or experts of the GSD in a thread and there isn't any continuity none.

MOST OF THE FEED BACK ENDS UP JUST BEING NASHING OF TEETH.

THANKS AGAIN GSD STUDENT FOR PROVING MY CASE.

TOP BREEDERS PLEASE COMMENT AND ONLY THE UPPER CRUST OF THE GSD WORLD PLEASE THANK YOU.
Shades Smilegrooving lovin life on lifes terms."

I am still looking for the same consenses who is the best for the GSD breed.mmm maybe it's me."

hello J, no way I'm going back and read 10 pages, but I would like to comment on some things you said here. Have no idea what you are looking for in a dog and not sure if you stated it. I do think you got some good recommendations that no one disagreed on. Robin Huerta for one and Nate Harves for another.

The GSD is divided up into so many factions, why would you expect a consensus. The conformation folks go one way, the sport another, the LE/Military another. Then there is the A.S.S. folks. They are all professionals in their chosen direction for the GSD. Professionals go for the dog, not the breeder and very few of them post here. The consensus you are likely to get here is from pet buyers whose emphasis is on health and honoring guarantees. Nothing wrong with that but if you are looking for something different, you need to state it.

I am not a professional and not the "upper crust" in the GSD world. I have bought 3 GSD's since my venture into the Euro dog in 2008, 2 s/l, 1 w/l. Put my hand on each, from Alabama to Germany, and got in my opinion much more dog than the seller got money. And I could have cared less the breeder.

So maybe you are a top 10 breeder, some how I doubt it.

But if you are breeding GSD that go V, KKL1  and are not an embarrassment on the field, let me know. I'm looking for my next one.

best,
Rik

I must have totally misunderstood the intent of this thread. I didn't think the OP was looking for a dog, just asking about opinions on breeders who routinely post here. Sort of a - what do you guys think about each other thread.

Blitzen, maybe I misunderstood the intent of the thread. And I didn't read the whole 10 pages. Might be a good time for you to tell him how wonderful the A.S.S. is and what a good job the AKC/GSDCA has done with the GSD. After all, some of them are excelling in agility and dock diving, and they do offer awards for those voluntary health checks.

jmo,

I'd rather buy a GSD from a breeder who shows their dogs in agility and dock diving and has "awards" for health checks than a breeder who doesn't do shit with their dogs, Rik. Sorry if I offended you, I didn't intend to. I didn't read every post here either, just re-read the original post and that was what my comments were based on.

Warning.

I have spent some time deleting the back and forth personal attack OT posts, please stay on topic from now on. Re-read the title and by all means comment, thanks guys. mrdarcy

"when one of your puppies graces the cover of a usca magazine....." not likely, since 1) I won't pretend to love the likes of your idols, ( I've seen one you mentioned in a rather despicable display of poor sportsmanship, certainly not someone to be revered) 2) my focus is on the gsd as it was intended to be, and not a dog that is only suitable for the sch field. But vomeisenhaus, you seem to have the world by the tail on a down hill pull, so here's a clink of the mug to ya ;-)

Joanro, I would buy a dog from someone like yourself - any day of the year - before looking at any of the Schh dogs that are peddled with "high titles".  Not interested in sport dogs or sport titles at all.   Dogs like yours who does real herding work in your farm, are FAR more valuable in my eyes than a dog with useless (to me) sport titles.

Just had to get it off my chest.
