I guess the only ones I can buy a dog from, are the ones I bought a dog from? No, Keith, it doesn't always work that way. That is why we listen, ask (such as this thread) or read what others say about breeders, because we all do not buy from people we know. We do not all know or see dogs we like at the clubs near us.
I've never been to Indiana, yet I got a good dog with good health -thanks to this board.

JBasler, define on what basis you are measuring breeders to determine whether they are in the 'top ten', and THEN, please explain what the second part of your post means--are you asking 'people with character and good standing on this forum' to name the forum-member breeders each of THEM think merit 'top ten' designation? OR are you asking forum members of all statures [w/character, w/o character, ugly as sin, persona non grata, etc.] to identify ten breeders with good character and in good standing on this forum?
If you are asking ONLY forum members who are, 'people with character and good standing on this forum,', well, then, WHO is making THAT determination, and again, on what basis?

Keith, I am gonna take myself off the list, no worries, you don't have to feel too threatened by it and I absolutely agree with you, just probably for different reasons....
Ibrahim, I breed so little that in all reality I should not even be on the list. However I do thank you for thinking of me. I mostly send people elsewhere to get puppies. I only import/translate emails for people who have hard time communicating with Czech/Slovak breeders without a FEE.. so please someone don't jump into conclusions here either. I am an idiot ehough to do this because..Why not!?
I breed a litter sometimes/ nearly never to keep a dog for myself, the rest go to working, pet homes depending on the buyer and the puppy. Some people like my kennel name so I let them use it if they use my dog as a stud.
I also help placing some of the puppies and still for no fee/ unless people want me to keep them longer, like crate/ potty train them and socialize them.
So no I am not really a breeder that produces more than one litter every once in a while. Yes Keith you were right.....

You're hysterical...you think that because you bought a pet quality coat from a good breeder that you don't work that you are somehow qualified to speak about what constitutes a good dog. Get over yourself; you don't know shit. Train that dog and title it and then come back and pretend like you know something.

I don't need to train my dog in Sch to suit you Keith. I do know a good dog, but then you have to have one, before you can identify one.
