Things like that matter to...wait, what was I was recently called? Oh, yeah-- "angry old, lonely and bored" people like me.
[Edited to add--VK, looking back at my post, I see that I kept referring to the titles transferring over, which wasn't the point, while in the meantime I was visualizing the entries in the active scorebook for the trials, etc., with the signatures and such... Anyway, the gist is that I just think USCA should let the active books from WDA issued prior to [pick a date] be certified if it had been acceptable to an SV judge when it was presented to them...]

Below is the WUSV's english document that the WUSV has poted on their own website................
Article II, Section 12.
8. If in one member country two or more associations are members of the WUSV, each Member Club shall be obliged to allow the members of the other Member Clubs to participate in their events, unless there is a club ban for this member.
The Member Clubs of the WUSV aim to recognize examinations, breeding evaluations, certificates and/or breeding selections of other Member Clubs as far as possible. If examinations, breeding evaluations, certificates and/or breeding selections are awarded by an international WUSV judge or masters for the selection for breeding on the basis of a respective WUSV regulation, all Member Clubs of the WUSV shall be obliged to recognize these in full.
Reading this, the UScA and the GSDCA are abliged to allow each other's members to compete in each other clubs' events, trials and shows.
So why cant we all get along?

I believe that DVG is one of the clubs in this country that has a varience to the FCI about one scorebook.
That is what I was told by DVG delegate in our discussions as a AWDF delegates about scorebooks.

USA CERTIFICATION OF FOREIGN or NON USA SCOREBOOKS
Scorebooks issued by other clubs, SV, DVG, ADRK, etc. (with the exception of scorebooks issued by the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, WDA) can be USA-certified by sending the original scorebook, a copy of the dog’s registration papers and a copy of your current membership card to the USA Office. The appropriate fee(s) are as follows: if you are a current USA member, the cost would be $10.00. If you are a non-member, the fee would be $40.00.

I checked the GSDCA website. No scorebook offered. I wrote to the GSDCA and asked if they had a GSDCA approved scorebook and after some correspondence, the answer from the person with authority is; yes, the scorebook pictured on facebook bearing both the GSDCA and GSDCA-WDA logo is officially endorsd by the GSDCA. Next question was and this is where we are; Why hasn't anyone told USCA about the endorsement?
As Unknown stated above; all the other clubs have to do is show the affiliation and the rest is already done through the WUSV agreement. To date this has obviously not been done.
At some point between May of this year and now. The GSDCA reached an agreement with the GSDCA-WDA. Nothing was done to convey the details of the agreement to USCA for their inclusion or acceptance.
It appears both sides may be right. The WDA is offering a GSDCA approved scorebook and USCA believes the WDA issued scorbook is not GSDCA approved and therefore is not obligated to accept it.
Considering the sole and only purpose to have the WDA get the GSDCA approval would be to have USCA accept them. I'm unclear as to why this was not done immediately upon GSDCA endorsement. Someone in the WDA should have sent a copy of the agreement to USCA with a cover letter stating something simple like;
The GSDCA has extended use of their WUSV authority to the GSDCA-WDA to supply GSDCA authorized scorebooks. Please see the attached agreement. We request these scorebooks be recognized through the WUSV reciprocal agreement. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
If this had been done, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be doing this exercise.
I have suggested to the GSDCA that they may want to communicate this to the WDA and have someone in the WDA follow up. I've also offered my services to expedite the process. I'll continue to follow the progress and post the results.
