Anyone know if griffiths is going to have the audacity to show up at crufts?

by opa on 06 March 2013 - 16:03

Talking of Crufts-  It looks like we could have a best in show  GSD this year  ELMOWink Smile

by justice4us on 06 March 2013 - 19:03

Nothing to do with griffiths i hope!!

by Blerio on 08 March 2013 - 10:03

opa, Doesn' t  Elmo have to win his class, then get the ticket, then best of breed, before he graduates to the groups. I believe there are approx 132 entries, and there are better dogs entered than Elmo, or do you know something you would like to share.

There are people on this post that can never forgive or forget, I can understand if you have been involved in some dodgy transaction, no one likes to admit they have been stuffed or duped. But like many have said, you need to move on, and if possible start again and hopefuly learn and never let it be repeated. I once bought a Bedwin female, not from Malcolm, but from a very good friend of his, Paul Rattigan  Bedwin's Utee, an Alf daughter, she was about 5 years old, had won nearly 30, 1st places including 1st at the 2 day and Paul told me she was very difficult to get into welp, I think Paul had only had 3 puppies out of her. Jupaala Ringo was one, he was a prolific winner, I mated her to Rosehurst Chris, she missed, took her back to Chris and produced 1 pup, female, Blerio Affair, Many 1st places including 1st, 2 day national, Affair produced Blerio Affirmative and affection, multiple Ch show winners, including Affirmative 2 day 1st junior, Affection was 3rd but led the class to near the end, I think 56 in the class. Another sister produced Blerio Expression, another 1st place 2 day national winner under Hans Peter Fetton at western park. His critique. "The best puppy female he had judged anywhere in the world that year."  Affirmative produced Blerio Reflection, another 2 day national winner and multiple Ch show  winner. Reflection produced Jupaala Ulan at Blerio another multiple 1st place winner including 1st 2 day national. Reflection's sister Rumours also a multiple winner produced  a super litter to Ghandi Arlett 6 males 6 females. We kept a female who produced Blerio Boudica another 2 day 1st place and multiple winner. Boudica has produced Ch Blerio Aviator, another 2 day 1st place. and Kelnik Regina, mother to Blerio Sascha, 1st  MPB  and Best Puppy Bitch at Kent this year. The point about this story is we were given, or bought a foundation block  or corner stone for our future breeding plans, what we do with that is down to us as breeders. There is a direct female line back to Bedwins Utee with all my dogs, and I don't plan to change or deviate from this breeding.  I have a lot to thank Paul for letting me have a 5 year old female who was difficult to get into welp, some 23 years ago, and in turn Malcolm for breeding such a female. Deep down we all admired Malcolm for his skill as a breeder, handler, judge, his understanding of our breed. I'm sure many will welcome him back this summer, will reminisce the good, the bad, and the ugly. I for one are looking forward to the show

BLERIO --He may have only been found out once or twice with dodgey pedigrees, but how can anyone trust someone caught like that ? Obviously those champion him back were either not involved or think maybe he will do them some good.Maybe we will get some ansers on sunday if he goes.

I imagine some perspective depends on whether you are the 'stuffer' or 'stuffee' in 'dodgy transaction' situations.

The lack of integrity and regard for health of the breed is unforgiveable IMO, whichever spin is put on it. But, for some the feeling is clearly, if you get good looking show dogs and good wins, does it matter? Isn't that how he ended up in this situation in the first place................

by Blerio on 08 March 2013 - 14:03

Justice4us, I don't think Malcolm is in a position to do anyone any good, dogs are not his occupation any longer, I don't think he will miss the agrivation. I'm sure he still has an interest in dogs, or he would'nt bother judging. I would also think he doesn't feel any obligation towards anyone in dogs. So maybe he will judge with no pressure, he certainly won't have any favours to settle.

by justice4us on 08 March 2013 - 16:03

Blerio: the fact that his mates at gsd wales gave him the judging job makes us think !!

by justice4us on 08 March 2013 - 16:03

Blerio; you say he's not into dogs now-what does he do then SECOND HAND CAR SALESMAN !
