LTS, when you were arranging to have Farah delivered to a mutually-agreed upon location, did you ever tell the seller that you would not pay more than XX dollars for the delivery of the dog?  It would seem that you already knew what it would cost to have the dog shipped to you by air as well as what it would cost to have her delivered by a pet courier ground service...so did you advise her that there was a maximum amount you were willing to pay her for bringing the dog?

I really, really cannot, for the life of me, understand WHY you CONTINUE to shoot holes in your own feet--I would be willing to bet that if you'd refrained from your dedication to smearing the seller's name across the Web, this whole thing would have long since been settled, and possibly for even less than the amount initially quoted as the delivery fee.  I agree with those who have stated that the best course for all involved--especially the dog--would be for you to return Farah to the seller and for the seller to return the purchase price, and both of you be done with it.

I agree 100% Barb,
Maybe I didn't express myself correctly above. But that is my point also.
I guess I wasn't thinking or really paying attention to the fact that more puppies are being advertised with papers when no one knows if papers will ever be made available.
I just know I would be pissed if I bought a dog thinking I was gonna get papers and then not get them.
It just sucks when the biggest consideration for. A dog is how much money can I make off her!

Bhaugh -  I really didn't want to respond to anymore of this.
Because enough has been said.  But when you call me a liar
that just really hurts.  I've been thru alot in my life, and I hate
a liar.  I do not lie !  I have nice dogs, and most of my puppy
buyers don't even care if they have papers.  I am honest with
them.  I had a litter of 12 puppies and found out yesterday that
only 2 people have reg. them.  So the average family that does
not care about breeding, it doesn't mean much to them.  They
just want a well bred, happy,  healthy puppy.  As far as returning
her, no way.  If I don't get papers on her there isn't much I can do
about that.  You can't put a price on Love, my dogs are also our
family pets.  I don't like it when people sell dogs and they get moved
around from home to home, it's not right and too confusing for the dog.
And if anyone that says they make a bunch of money
on raising dogs then they aren't doing it right.

You don't like it when people sell dogs and get moved around from home to home? Now awile back didn't you have your male up for sale? You have a 2 yr old up for sale. And in the past you have sold alot of older pups or dogs.BUT you love your dogs?
I have a feeling people will be on her bashing LTS because they were promised papers and never got them.

I'm not taking any sides here but $350.00 for a ground transport seems high, especially if the price was not agreed to in advance.

Airfreight fee:  $650-750 + shipping crate
Ground pet courier fee:  $1200-1500

Fuel at $4-4.50/gallon....

Seriously???? Then post on your ads that you do not have papers for the puppies UP FRONT. Let the buyer decide if they want to pay $1200.00 for a non papered dog.

And really love the dog? You've had the frickin dog 5 months.

So it looks like you have made your decision. This issue is then resolved.

I understand  that Cesna and I'm not saying you are right or wrong; I do think you both share responsibility for not discussing and agreeing to a price before hand.

I know I have transported dogs and the most I have ever charged is maybe for my gas if I went a distance out ot my way.  Quite often in a sale we both just meet 1/2 way
and maybe one party will buy the other lunch.  <shrug>

I know Betty...  And I am sorry that this whole thing has plagued these boards...  It is quite old... I have been very clear on everything...Fulfill the contract and all paperwork will be transferred..  The buyer could have had the paperwork a while ago, but this just keeps going on and on...   I have worked with many, many happy people...  Had things gone by the agreed contract, this never would have been on these boards...  I have letters from the SV regarding the AKC Bescheinigung and the AKC has the paperwork from me and the SV..  Everything is documented and both organizations have copies of the signed sale contract.

I would be more than happy to give Donna all of her money in exchange for Farah...  I know that I lost quite a bit in the sale, but I am the one who determined the price of the dog and took the loss..   Because of the unstable fuel prices, which vary by state and the economy of the vehicle driven, it was very difficult to predict the exact charge.  Furthermore, I am responsible for reimbursing the driver of the vehicle that was used during that trip...

I've refrained from commenting on this mess, but LTS did her part in transport expense by driving five hours one way to meet for pickup. If no one went out of their way to transport the dog, when they were going anyway, why should the other person be responsible for the seller's trip expense? $350 for hitching a ride is crazy. JMO.
