Even though I agree that the current day showlines  are utterly useless for any kind of real work, and also the complete anti-thesis of what the breed-founder intended for his breed, and also rife with deep-set temperamental weaknesses that simply cannot be bred out without huge dedication, wholesale culling of the breeding-stock and several generations of hard selective breeding work,  this particular thread reeks of trouble ! 

The showline crowd will keep on hitting this thread to try and take down the OP, making accusations and personal attacks, since they take it really personal.  There are already 2 pages of this and the pages are filling faster by the day !  I would just close this thread.
 

aaykay your the best................these showline advocates are a strange bunch.............maybe they mean well but they just have a distorted view of GSD reality....................

what can i do...........some showlines can be good maybe its those they are referring too......

aaykay, you & eddy can keep right on believing that show line GSDs are responsible for all that's 'wrong' with the breed.  I'm not a 'line' person either way--I'm a GSD person, and frankly I don't think there's anything 'wrong' with the BREED.  There are individual dogs with severe problems, there are various issues that are known of and need to be watched carefully within lineages, and there's a HELL of lot more breeding being done--of sport AND show lines, European AND American lines--than is in the best interest of the dogs, but there's nothing WRONG with the BREED.  They are still being used in law enforcement, and as service dogs and guide dogs and SAR dogs and therapy dogs and sport dogs and livestock dogs and in nearly every capacity one can think of where a moderate-sized, intelligent, agile and biddable dog is needed.

Which WL dog of yours competed against Kevin Nance's SL (and lost) at the nationals this year?

why did the germans allow the decline of the GSD..............its seems not like them at all??
 

Keith, I believe Aakay was asked similar questions a few days ago regarding which of his WL's kicked SL's to the curb in trials. If he answered, I must have missed it.

I don't want to embarrass  Kevin by touting his and his great SL's accomplishments, but I think it's fair to say that few GSD's of any line will ever rise to the same level.

which one of you guys is producing or has produced any dogs for any kind of work besides sport competitions??
