Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. |
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. |
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, |
other times there were one set of footprints. |
This bothered me because I noticed |
that during the low periods of my life, |
when I was suffering from |
anguish, sorrow or defeat, |
I could see only one set of footprints. |
So I said to the Lord, |
"You promised me Lord, |
that if I followed you, |
you would walk with me always. |
But I have noticed that during |
the most trying periods of my life |
there have only been one |
set of footprints in the sand. |
Why, when I needed you most, |
you have not been there for me?" |
The Lord replied, |
"The times when you have |
seen only one set of footprints, |
is when I carried you." |

I felt pretty crappy this morning, but look what was waiting for in the driveway.......nearly got run over by dogs trying to catch it! They are very gentle with me, but sparing butterflies is not in the equation! He got away, tho' with some judicious intervention on our part! jackie harris

The butterfly is symbolic of many things and two of them are faith and hope. I'm praying for a miracle, Jackie. As others have said, try not to give up hope no matter what the doctor tells you. My mom had late stage three cancer and was given 6 months to three years to live. She lived 7 years, dying at age 94. I think if she had been younger and stronger she would've lived much longer.

Thank you, StarrChar. When my Mom passed this past spring, we released butterflies for her, monarches & painted ladies, they were so beautiful! I feel like this beauty is a messenger of faith. After we were done with the dogs he returned to warm his wings in the sun. jackie harris

Well, I read my CT reports, & they couldn't possibly be any better! No metastatic tissue found anywhere! Now the surgeon & pathologists will stage this during & after my surgery, but right now things look much brighter!!!!
Woo-Hoo!
That's better than hitting the Powerball!
