Ok I have seen many livers with really nice pedigrees, all go back to Pike. Recently I just seen a pup that's linebred on Pike. Dow anyone know for a fact this is coming from Pike or is it a coincidence? I personally strongly believe it's coming from Pike.

I've heard before that Pike has produced liver (possibly blue too?). He is also, if I remember correctly, in the pedigree of the panda dogs? But I might be mistaken on that one.

If the dog  is line bred by commonality on one dog 1st gen 2nd gen 3 gen and it is pike or females his ancestry same thing and they are his and the SAME denominator is PIKE  you can bet your House and car, it is Pike..but then who did he get it from

Uran v Wildsteigerland or Palme?? who   TIMO went right back to Uran  Palmes son who is known...liver carrier.

Mahon had the liver pups out of Timo's Daughter so he traced the common back thru the line bred on ...you can see who is the common close line bred on ..if Pike and is females or males then guess you may be right.

YR

I do not have his pedigree to look at.

I will see if I can find the pedigree. Yes pike does appear in the first panda shepherds pedigree BUT I am not comfortable saying pike is the one responsible for producing that as one side of that dogs ped is german working and the other side is pretty much a mystery with retarded pet names and no pics or colors. Yes pike shows up in almost all the panda peds BECAUSE he is in the first panda's ped. So if you she pike it's thru that dog. Not different dogs like with the liver color. I have not seen blues from him BUT every liver with a "good" pedigree ( meaning not BYB am pet crap ) goes to pike! Soon as I get a chance I will post the pedigrees of those I know of.

I have heard that Eros carries Liver - probably pretty likely that he gets it from Pike. The dam also has Pike, so yeah.

I wonder if the liver pup will be going to a working home?

I don't know but she's a good looking pup and a really nice pedigree.

what do you guys think should be done in a case like this. Say this pup is an awesome working dog and with a nice ped would you breed her? would you repeat the breeding if the litter was nice knowing that there is a chance and pups are carriers?

I personally don't think I would breed her or sell her for breeding. Not sure if I would repeat the breeding but maybe be more careful when breeding the parents.
