Gustav,

I know what you are saying, but I'm not sure what you mean. Javir is a good example. Look at who he had helping with the show training.

Blitzen,

I think you have the essence of the situation. Not that it needs to be easier as all goals should require some effort to be valuable, but the opportunity to really participate is contained in a few groups scattered around the country.

I attended the Austrian Universal Sieger Show in Reute, Austria in 1990 I believe.  Walter Martin was Breed Judge for the event. A working dog, Boss v.d. Maineiche,  competed and earned a respectable  V placement.  Boss earned his SchH 1, 2 and 3 with 300 points in each.  He competed at the Bundessiegerpruefung several times.

Attending that event inspired me to later push the GSDCA-WDA to take on the responsibility for promoting the Universal Sieger Show concept.  We hosted the first two here in Bowling Green, KY in 1998 and 1999. The Universal Sieger Show had been held in Northern Germany for many years prior to our taking on the concept here in the states.

Gustav, I wasn't referring to the situation here in the US--I was referring to within Europe.
