How much refund would be fair for soft ears, stand when the dog stops, flop when the dog runs. Pet price paid, not for showing or breeding, will be spayed. Less than a year old. No known history of bad ears in the family.

None. You purchased a pet. You typically don't see guarantees on dogs sold as pets for soft ears, retained testicles, missing teeth or incorrect bite.

There has been in GSD history top working, breeding and show dogs with even missing ear/s. Never mind a little floppy "when the puppy runs." But, if you promised such a thing, you should honor what you promise the buyer. I like this one below...

I don't think anyone should expect a refund on a pet quality dog for anything other than health. Soft ears that stand at less than 1 y.o. can certainly firm up with more maturity.

Thank you, Lineage. I didn't promise any such thing, but I'm sending a refund. But as many have seen pictures of dogs, for example, hitting a sleeve with enough impact to cause the ears to fall forward so could said to be soft and refund demanded. If it was my dog, and I was pushed to point of disappointment the owner has expressed, I'd crop them like the dog you posted the picture of...looks pretty good. ;-)

Yes please crop the ears because we all know a dog can't and will not work, protect and be loyal unconditionally without BOTH EARS STANDING STRAIGHT UP 100% of the time.  What a waste..

Yes, I said if I was pushed to the point of disappointment the owner is...I didn't say I'd bother me, hutch. :-)

Joanro, I did not address anyone in my comment. I just made a statement giving my opinion based on what I think, not what anyone else thinks or their opinion. Wink Smile

Gotcha, and I'm with you 100%.
