So there  ^^ you have it. Any questions?

by Aed Ion on 08 March 2015 - 03:03

Why not? I didn't ask for a debate, was simply stating my opinion that neither working lines or show lines are  without faults and don't count on getting a great dog based only on a pedigree.

Because when I say SL and WL are effectively two separate breeds at this point I made no claim on the qualitity of each said breed or lack thereof.  Just common courtesy not to piggy back assertions on other people's posts Wink Smile

I think Blitzen you explained very loud and clear what your SL female did,and now i would like to hear from vk what his WL dogs did,and what the purpose they have in his houshold?

I'm waiting.........

"Well, vk, mine keeps my feet warm at night, makes me smile, is my best friend, does everything I ask of her, is titled in both German and AKC venues, warns me when someone strange walks on my property, keeps stray dogs away, and has alerted neighbors when their cars were broken into so they could call the police. She also kept a previous owner from being mugged and acted as her hearing service dog. What about your  working dog? What purpose does he serve?"

that is super-neat, i would not be-grudge anyone for having a dog for such reasons, if you look after them and that's what they do for you then no problem here.

this is however a forum with many people that love the breed and want to see it flourish in a way it was meant to be.

for your needs any decent rescue dog would fit the bill, thaat is not sarcasm or belittling your needs. you can achieve the same thing and save a dogs life.

as for me, my dog has paid his purchaase price, his food bills, his vaccs and met the expectations i had for him and exceeded them.

the dog has was bought to guard my property with aa new wave of rural crime due to locals not used to locking thousaands of dollars worth of infrastructure up. the new people see this aas an invitation to just take stuff, not easy to secure large areas anyway. my dog was also to deter dog matcers and hunters that steal finished hunting dogs for hunting and matchers that stael any dog for fighting.

i also do paid work guarding other peoples'property both with handler present and as loose compound dog. dog has also done paid crowd control work at several venues.

dog also comes out for work in depredation, was not purchased for that but hey, he is fast, has  great nose and more than pays his way at it supporting the hounds.

i have 2 witness statements at the local  police staations with two major hauls of stolen property and illicit drugs, was aa fluke we came across them but the dogs did indicate at why these unfamiliar items were out of place in the scrub. again that was not training just something thaat happened, the dogs under police escort re-located the hauls.

also have recently gained a contract as a presence at a heroin substiute program, can't remeber the name of what the molecule is.

could i have made money off several offers to breed to unregistered females for train and property guards, yes but i won't.

also serves much the same function as yours as a pal.

you been in the game a looooooot longer than me, wonder who's dog best matches the ideals of the creator.

sorry for sloppy spelling, too bad.

Anyone can see that your dog is the better dog, vk.
