I'd have to pick Funny as one of my favorite females based on personal knowledge of the dog. She was the foundation for the current 5th generation of HOT and BHOT German and AKC Am bred,  titled dogs.  I have some bitework photos of her taken at the Siegerschau I will share privately if anyone is interested.

Wonderful thread, JYL. We seem to always overlook the influence of the females who contribute one half of their genes to every genome also.

Well Blitzen;  look at Funny's dam, beautifully put together to boot.  Like her a lot also, body style, don't of course know her temperament but really a beauty and I would bet probably beauty and brains...  an

I have always liked Tina Jipo Me.  I love her structure and she produced well.  When I first saw pics of her she looked like a male, at least the pedigree database pic does.  She is the maternal grandmother of my pup.  It's ashame she died from bloat

Funny was my heart dog, Nans. I first saw her at the 2005 NASS and thought she was the most beautiful female I'd ever seen and her bitework was outstanding. I was offered the chance to give her a retirement home when she was 10 and I was very happy to do so. I still miss her terribly. She was that once in a lifetime dog for me.

Tina was a beautiful bitch. I'd be super careful with your male, Templars.

I'm rather partial to my own (retired) dog, imagine that! LOL!  And it's because she really is that good, not because she's mine. Shades Smile  I chuckle now when I see those "in the know" buying very similarly bred dogs...I feel like she's been my secret for several years. Had a few people at first really not "get" the breeding and even make some disparaging remarks because it's not all the usual suspects and I was new to breeding. Really hoping her sequel can hold a candle to her.

By how pretty she is, you'd never guess how strong she is, but her character strength and drive are far more impressive than her looks (really...even people who hate me love herTeeth Smile ).

I also like Helen vom Stadtfeld, Rabia vom Stadtfeld, and Hera vom Stadfeld...off the top of my head.http://www.working-dog.eu/dogs-details/984129/Helen-vom-Stadtfeld Strong working girls with strong structure, too. Rabia is reputed to have rivaled Metin. I almost hate to tell everyone my secrets. LOL!
