I know nothing about Bob Fox. This is in response to the scenario you described, where a trainer wants to pull a dog from rescue for use in the working world and asks to keep the dog intact. Why not vasectomize the dog to prevent that person from breeding while still providing the dog a great working home?

I would not be interested in any castrated dog for working applications. Much harder to resell and also removes necessary hormones.

Uh, yeah. That's why Loony said vasectomize. I don't know many who want a dog for work who would castrate them. BUT- if you're "rescuing" dogs, you shouldn't be considering their "resale." I think that's what the suspicion is about.

I've encountered him likewise in several FB forums and always expereinced the same dogmatic opinionated attitude towards anyone he deems unworthy of his expereince,, HIS ways or HIS opinions. I would be suspect of his intentions with rescuing aggressive dogs for training his way but keeping them intact.... too easy to blur a lot of ethical lines as a responsible breeder. Personally don't care to interact with him, he fails to respect anyone he deems leser than he. Granted confidence is great but overbearing is hard to put up with.

Does anyone know the URL for Bob Fox' kennel? I can find him on FB but not a regular web page.
Also, there was a post not too long ago in his FB group about him breeding Belgian Malinois, possibly cross breeding Mal X GSD. Any info on that or any truth to it? I note he was very quick to delete that thread after that was posted. Naturally that only served to pique my curiosity.
What are his breeding philosophies? Training philosophies?
From what has been posted above, I am under the impression that Bob Fox will only rescue GSDs that are intact? Any and all, or only "aggressive" dogs?
Does he health test all of his breeders, if he has any, and does he DNA all litters and the sires and dams thereof?
