Khalid, Marlo was shown in the wc for the first time - he is too young to show a progeny group.
V2 for a 2 years old male means: As soon as there is good progeny he will be VA. Take a look at the breeders who already use this dog.
Once again, it´s not about "VA" or "placement" only.

Marlo did excellent bitework, and I love the temperament. My concern is I have seen some of his progeny he is not giving good red pigment, all the puppies
I seen so far looked little washed out.He is very young and I hope when bred to higher quality females he may throw some nicely pigmented puppies.Next year if he show nice progeny group will go definitely VA,time will show how he produce.Overall very nice dog and many breeders should use him for temperament improvement . I wish him the best.

I did not mean marlo specifically... But dogs with that work ethic... Obviously with a progeny group and all it takes to qualify for va... Agreed that as soon as he shows progeny will move to va and v2 is a high tittle for a 2 years dog.... He is really super and it doesnt bother me either if he's va2, v2 or v22.....

Shatterhand, red pigment is no part of the standard, only pigmentation is.
I really love dark dogs, but in case I had to choose between a red colored coach potatoe and a light colored working dog, I´d go with the one willing to work...
I took a look at Marlo´s pedigree - should be no problem to get good colored dogs out of him.

Khalid, after all the BSZS is a conformation show, no working trial. People tend to believe the VA1 is the best dog of the world - NO, he/she is the best looking dog of the world with good progeny and at least 3/3 bitework.
As soon as you are looking for a "good looking, good working" dog, you need to widen your field of view.
BSZS is for the best looking dogs
BSP is made for the best working dogs
Everybody is free in his choice.

Agreed, a very interesting pedigree, also someone wasn't very interested in the biggest names for few generations
