MORE INFORMATION SOON
A LETTER HAS BEEN SENT TO GSD BREED CLUBS
In my opinion this letter appears to have been formulated in order to
OBTAIN "COMPLIANCE"
BY THE "GSD BREED COUNCIL"
WITH THE KENNEL CLUB
"ACCREDITED BREEDERS SCHEME"
Which in my firm opinion is seriously flawed
Question: Has there been any 'co-operation' by the
GSD Partnership in the formulation of this letter?
note: "the timing of this letter is very suspect"
The GSD fraternity should INSIST on a
GSD ACCREDITED DOG SCHEME

I for one have not heard any thing about a letter suspending our CC allocation for 2012 if some one has a copy of this letter it would be helpfull to all to post it on this board, I take it that you (david) have read this letter could you post it on here

MUST NOT BE "BOUNCED" INTO QUICK DECISIONS BECAUSE THIS LETTER

MUST "DEFER" DECISIONS ON THE KENNEL CLUB "ACCREDITED BREEDERS SCHEME"

SHOULD SUSPEND ALL MEETINGS WITH THE KENNEL CLUB

SHOULD EXPLORE ALL OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE WUSV & FCI

SHOULD EXAMINE ALL OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO THEM
REMEMBER

I have now read this letter and it concerns me greatly. We are basically being held to ransome!!!! Has this been sent to any other breed? Or is it just GSD's?

My guess is that the KC have seen that we, largely, lack the stomach for "going it alone" and now think they can dictate... whatever!
The irony in such a manoeuvre by the KC will be lost to the majority... we are being punished for trying to improve the lot of our breed; THAT will NEVER be made clear to Joe Public OR the Veterinary profession! The KC has refused, more than once, to implement simple changes that would make significant improvements... their only reason? Loss of revenue... money, the KC's God.

Missbeeb, I couldn't have said it better!
I don't think there are as many breeders in any other breed, that would willingly support only the registration of puppies from health tested parents of acceptable standards. How can anyone who has the health of the breed at heart argue against that? You can muddy it and use many excuses but when it comes down to it, there is no good reason not too! Except loss of revenue and no matter what anyone says to me, I will not see it any differently.
The responsible GSD breeders are trying to do more to help the breed and Joe Public than the KC themselves but they would never admit to that now would they?

so does this mean that in 2012, no GSD will be handed any CC'S.
I hate the kennel club. They make all the health problems, and takeno care, and then blame it on us.
They should find a way to make sure that CC'S are allocated in 2012, otherwise, there could be some showdogs, that couldn't show their potential.
I had high hopes for Videx razor, but now from this setback, i feel sorry for him.
