Maybe VK4 is being a little harsh Mack but your posts
on the Crufts issues and judging / breeding the GSD
generally do tend to give a bit of an impression that
you want to "sound off" without giving a lot of thought
to the "Well where do we go from here ?" points I have
been trying to make ?

I thought a little more about the list you posted as the
rules you yourself operate under ^^^ - one difficulty is
that almost all current breeders seem to believe that mostly
that is how they see it, too. Unfortunately, however sensible
sounding, even noble, those sentiments are, they are not an
answer when many people can no longer see the wood for
the trees; it's not as though there are hordes of Machiavellian
breeders, judges, exhibitors out here plotting the downfall
of the breed by making the toplines even more curved,
the hocks even wobblier, the temperaments less sound, on
purpose.

I totally agree with Mackenzie's post. It's reached the point where I don't post here very often because I am sick and tired of being attacked/trolled by VK and a few other people who seem to have nothing better to do than to pick apart nearly everything I say!

Oh, and a note to those who do this: if I don't bother to respond to you disagreeing with me, it doesn't mean you've won the argument. It means I just can't be bothered fighting with you. I've got better things to do, now that the snow is pretty much all gone, and Eska has her zip back following her illness.

Hundemutter - vk is just trying to stir things up as usual.

As for my post it was as I said in an earlier post “For the readers sake let me say that my post is not internet outrage but a serious observation on the Statement put out by the League. No more, no less. Whether you agree or disagree is up to you”. This is different to sounding off. Did you agree or disagree with the post? There has not exactly been a howl of protest disagreeing with my observations only a personal comment directed at me from vk and now yourself.

Why do you think that people cannot see the wood for the trees? Once you know that then perhaps you can make more suggestions as to the way forward. As for any changes that need to be made is for the Breed hierarchy to give proper direction as to what needs to be done.

Also, I am not for one minute saying that there is a plot for the downfall of the breed, A plot is not needed to see what has happened in the decline of the breed in the Show lines.

I had actually given up writing on the PDB but I felt that the Crufts debacle needed a comment. I have made my comments and now I am going to withdraw from making any further contributions to the PDB. It is up to the people who are active in the breed to plan for the future.

Do you know many people enjoy and learn from your posts? I am one of them. A post in which you you don't share your insight lacks flavor.
I don't care how correct your views are sometimes, you always add an extra dimension.
Please do not post any less, PDB is already lacking enthusiasm

Mack do you bother to read anything I post ? I said some
paragraphs back [here, or on the Judging thred], in answer
to somebody else saying they'd read the League Statement,
that we could not expect anything else, and that we need to put
aside the rote responses and 'stick a bomb under' the breed's
'leading lights'.

Sunny, I know Pete is a PIA but you have to look beneath the
way he puts things, there really is quite a lot of shrewd observation
there.

Hundmutter - I do read your posts but unfortunately you avoid specific questions put to you.

Just to remind so that you understand my position from this point on that in an earlier post I said
