[OT] Uh-oh! What's wrong with Canidae? I'm feeding the All Life Stages Canidae, after trying 3 or 4 other brands on my dogs. I had to switch when my usual brand changed its formula, and my female disliked the new stuff so much she would actually spit it out!  Please PM me,or start a new thread so we keep this one on track... Thanks! [/OT]

midnight here is where I come from. There are very many knowledgeble breeders/ exhibitors/trainers here. This forum could be a wealth of information for all who wish to learn.

And it is only 3 people who run these people off.

SunSilver, Uber and xeph.

These very high level GSD breeders/trainers/exhibitors of excellent dogs in the U.S. and also Germany try to come here and share their knowledge.

And always, these same 3 STOOGES piss them off to the point that they say "Fuck you, learn it on your own".

Where is the last post you see from Dogs1 here. This is not only one of the very nicest persons I have ever met, but also an encyclopedia of knoweldege concerning the GSD. If you ask him to analyze your pedigree, you better pull up a chair. He can take you all the way back to Max and give the info to back it up.

Why do you think he comes here no longer. He has his vast knowledge, which he often tried to share here, but always he is confronted by one of the three stooges.

Very recently SS throws her feces at him.

Just my two cents..

We are all very passionates people and like GSD have strong defensive drives LOL..sometimes it can get out of hands..I think we should all take a deep breath before posting and calling peoples names..this is not about us..it is about the breed we love.
Insults never bring anything good..violence brings violence..
Instead of insulting the ones who do not agree..let's try to explain our point of view so others can make their own opinions..

We should all agree to disagree! This breed is so versatile and we can all learn from each other experiences..

Hello YR, thank you for your very nice comments concerning me.

I assume from your  "handle" that you are from Texas, so very good news for you.

My next planned show is Central Texas in Dec. Ask Shak for details.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to show up and put Rik in his place. If nothing goes south, I will have a male in 12-18 and a working class female. She already goes V in Germany and also her first show in the U.S. (CIPWDA). Also, I'm pretty sure that I show the only sable S/L in the U.S. so I am easy to recognize.

I tremble in fear that you show up and embarrass me.

Also, this may be a regional show. So my bitch may have to bite. Bring your camera and maybe you get video to post of how stupid Rik is to choose this bitch.

Rik

P.S. honestly I look for better way to describe a person who comes here and presents the "PANDA SHEPHERD" as a GSD and "incredibly stupid" is the most gentle description I can grasp.

Okay, I don't remember ever having any contact with Dogs1, so I did a search.

I've never posted with him, but he is the owner of Ronaldo, and I did post a rather unflattering picture of this dog. He had his front paw about 8 inches off the ground. This was his official PDB photo. I looked at the comments for the photo, and one talked about the dog goose stepping, and said the owner needed to post a better photo and get a better handler. The offending photo was removed, and replaced with the one I posted. The inescapable conclusion is this dog DOES gait like that, and it was not the handler's fault for having him on a tight leash. I seem to remember the breed standard calling for a gait that is low to the ground to conserve energy.  Ronaldo is not alone. Many of the current showline dogs do this. Now, NOWHERE in anything I've read or heard about GSD's does it say this sort of gait is correct!

I have an honours degree in biology, and one of my main interests was comparative anatomy. The structure and movement of the GSD interests me, especially the differences between the different types of GSD. Why are they built that way? Why do the showlines gait this way? Is it a fad? Does it really benefit their working ability?  I am trying to answer these questions, but what I get in response from some of you is "Shut up! You know NOTHING!!"

Now, I also taugh high school for a number of years, and as a former teacher, I can tell you that is NOT the way to encourage someone who wants to learn!

I am sorry if I hurt Dogs1 feelings, but he hasn't posted on the board since April, so I doubt very much that I was the one responsible for running him off!

I've checked his most recent posts, and the only one that got a bit nasty is this one, about the 2008 U.S.A. Sieger Show where he was called to task by both Hodie and Louise Penery:

I'd like to know who I've run off in just over 50 posts :p

by blueroan on 29 July 2009 - 03:07

I know this thread is getting deep, so I just want to add my "2 cents". I am new, I want to learn and I came here for that. I read all the posts and they all go south unless no one takes the time to answer the post at hand.
My mom told me "If I have nothing nice to say then don't say it". So I will say I love to come and learn and when knowledgable people enjoy sharing there knowledge with me.I like when people understand we all think differantly and when learning there is no stupid question just stupid answers. I like it when people don't attack me for a question I thought needs an answer or maybe I just don't get. I know we don't all agree and we don't think alike that is why it is so great that we can have somplace to even ourselves out, we can help each other with what they dont know and they can offer us there knowledge.

O.K. that is enough from me. Everyone enjoy there dogs and families

Please Sunsilver, you boast of your edcuation so don't play stupid.

You know very well when you ask the question "lifting fronts" what your next move will be.

Very stupidly, I fall for your "sincerity" also other knoweldgeable people give good answers.

Then "wham" you pull a picture from your "house of horrors" (not my term, other poster)  And now you act innocent.
Bull Shit.

So, people are offended because I choose to match your incredible insult to these people with my own incredible insult to you.

I wonder why no one with high achievements in the GSD world takes the time to correct me.

I never see these people slam dogs, people, breeders nothing. Only  you and the other 2 STOOGES that I name.

It's really not the major insult you claim it to be.  Really it's just annoying....

I wonder why no one with high achievements in the GSD world takes the time to correct me.
Maybe you're not worth their time to correct.  Or maybe they don't read the board.
